The Curves in Duluth Ga, has the worst customer service! Has anyone else had a horrible experience like I have?? I tried cancelling my membership and not only were there rude, they refused to help me or return my email with a name, just a "sorry we can't help you."
I am absolutely outraged! I'm telling everyone I know not to go there, or deal with those individuals.
Please help me in spreading the word, or sharing any similar stories you may have about this poor excuse of a business.
I know they say all PR is good PR, but I beg to differ. And I plan on doing everything I can to get the word out!

You live in Duluth, MN. Why are you complaining about a Curves club in Georgia? I think you're confused as to which club you belong to.

The Curves at P'tree Hills ,Kroger Shopping Center, is now once (again) under new ownership. by someone with a "Pit Bull" attitude. Forget her..Just write a letter of resignation and send it registered to them. She knows, she is a loser. She is trying to use the former employees as little Puppy dogs around her feet. One thing for sure, she will not make it. Too bad,as the former Manager had it all .I wish the best for the former manager and her crew.

As the NEW owner of Curves in Duluth, GA I would like to welcome anyone into our club to experience the excitment and willingness to help women reach their goals. Many changes have taken place since I took over the club in June of 2012, some good some bad. Most people understand that change is needed when you come into an "already failing company" to make it strive and succeed. As for the previous statement, this must be by a person that does not understand how business ownership works. Also the previous comment was responding to a post made back in 2008 and the club was ran by the very person you are praising. My staff members are a wonderful group of ladies whom I apprecaite very much and do not treat like "puppy dogs". I am reassured of this daily by their words and positive comments and willingness to help out with anything that is needed, as well as the numerous comments I get on a daily basis from my ladies that belong to the club. My staff members are the same group of wonderful ladies that were here when I took over the club in June with the exception of the manager.

We are working towards a "New Day here at Curves".

yes there is a new owner as of June 2012, yes there were a lots of unkept promises. The equipment doesn't get cleaned like it use to, she cuts the hours back for the afternoon clients, closes early. Also closes just because she didn't want to work the week after Christmas. ALso doesn't give any refund on days she decides to close. Yes there are some wonderful ladies that work there and have worked there .There has been a drop in membership since she took over for sure.

Club was closed the week of Christmas due to a remodel and repainting of the interior of the club, I personally went up to the club during the week of Christmas and saw her doing the remodel her self. I do not think its fair to say she closed because she did not want to work when she spent 7 days including Christmas day working to make the changes that needed to be made inside. As a member of this club I see a tremendous change since the new owner has taken over and the change is for the better. I do not feel as if the hours of the Duluth Curves are bad at all and the only change I see with the hours is a 30 minute difference in the evening than what they used to be. Most other Curves that I have seen are closed a lot earlier than Duluth.

I am currently an active (meaning I workout quite regularly) and I do have a complint about this location, one there seems to be a not so pleasant smell in the center, I have addressed this before w/staff and nothing has been done. I am assuming something as simple as a few pleasant plug in air freshners may do the trick. Also none of the staff there is actually "training" any of the members, when members are working out the staff should be in the middle of the curcuit and direct any members who are having troubles or not actually using the machines the correct way. This is what the "curves" experience should be about. I have been a member with the curves system for well over 7+ yrs and every location I have been to have had more than enough staff. I do know that this location has lost yet another staff member (now only down to 1 staff person & the owner, who never works evenings, except for Wednesday's when her teenage daugther is "so called" working. The one staff member who is on staff is quite elderly (in her 80's) there definately needs to be some young blood in there, hire a few ladies that truly enjoy working out and can be of assistance to the members.

Thank you for your comments. The not so pleasant scent has been addressed with air fresheners and due to some memberís allergic reactions we had to remove them rather quickly. The scent comes from next doors home cooking restaurant and unless the club moves to a new location there are certain times of the day that the scent is stronger than others. There are several items I would like to address. I, the owner do work evenings. I work double shifts three times a week, M - W - F. Recent Monday's have been rotated due to meetings that I have had outside of the club. My daughter is an employee/staff member of this club. She was hired to do administrative items that I do not have time to do and not to be a trainer or circuit coach. She finishes all projects that are assigned to her and does the cleaning on her nights as well; to say she is "so called working" is not fair if you do not know what she was hired for.
I agree with the comment above about the activity in the circuit and needing "young blood" in the club, this is why I have been conducting interviews with trainers over the past two weeks and we will have several new staff members in the club shortly and this will be one of the changes that takes place. This is not something I feel that I have to announce to the members of this club until someone is hired.
Any member of this club should bring any concerns or questions regarding staffing, procedures or issues to my attention or a staff members attention so that it can be addressed. If we do not know about the issue you are having with the club we cannot fix them.

Thank you for your feedback on the club and we will work harder to please the members of this club and as always I will do my very best running this location.
