I have heard this since April...had court about every 6 weeks and heard the same thing....he lies about having a new job...already sentenced on felony flagrant non-support....still keeps getting chance after chance...not to mention he owes around $25,000....oh and he hasn't made any payments! I've been going through it since February and we go back next month. The judge told him that if he doesn't have a job by then, he has to prove that he's taking GED classes so he can find another job. He's not looking for another job, he's sitting by the phone waiting for the employer who laid him off in the first place has work for him to do. I've driven down the road several times on my way to work and seen him working in plain sight. I've call the office of the Director of Child Support Enforcement and they tell me that the only proof that they will accept to show that he's working is a statement from him or his employer. It defies all reason to me.

my ex wife is behind 5K, and no support is adding up now as she bred again, and in the state she lives in, as long as she is in a rehab facility, and collecting welfare, it is unfair to her to collect or accrue support. Not to mention the fact that she was docked a whole whopping $280.00 amonth for 4 kids!!!! knows all about it wrote: <quoted text> Isn't that the truth! What would you do cause he really wants to spend time with his son. Contact the county attorney's office. I am not sure if they work with visitation but they might. They can also tell you what to do. Otherwise, I would hire an attorney so that they can file a motion for visitation, joint custody, whatever you are wanting. Good luck!

NO judge likes to be challanged like that, and it may open their eyes. <quoted text> It's not about contempt charges anymore. He was sentenced to 3 years in prison in circuit court for felony flagrant non support. Prison was probated as long as he made payments. It has been a year since sentencing and he's not made a single payment. We only have one circuit court judge for this area. I make my voice known in court. I hardly ever miss one of his court appearances. In fact, we have one coming up soon. I am sure it will be the same ole' song and dance. It is very frustrating but I have fought this for years.

Have you tried to establish it in KY?

They don't deal with visitation at all and since earlier this year, they don't handle medical bills, either. I have to be the one take the ex to court to get his half.

I took off work to go because I wanted the judge to know that he'd been working and not paying. I get there and he's nowhere to be seen. The judge decided to move my case to the morning docket so he could hear both cases at the same time.

They get off scott free getting paid under the table, not paying taxes, and then get away with not paying their child support. Mine is to good to work anywhere except the industry he was employeed in years ago, which he is a has been in since he has cheated and stole from everyone. He's too good to work in a store or restraunt. One things for sure, he always has money for his buzz though..... I don't see how deadbeat parents close their eyes and sleep at night. I just don't understand how they can live with themselves!

That has added up to so much I gave up on turning that in this year....You don't get money for medical until support is current...that'll never happen owing what he owes us.

I don't know your situation, but if that is their attitude, you may be better off without them. If you circumstances allow it, get passport, or foodstamps, then you can push what you want, and they HAVE to collect on you befalf!!! I don't know who she is and wouldn't know if I walked up to her, BUT, I do know that ever since my ex had to start paying child support, I've been accused of buying clothes for myself with the money or paying my car payment with the child support. Most of MY clothes have holes in them, I just patch them up, but our kids' clothes don't. I work a full-time job and I pay my own car payment. The child support is for the kids and if I spent it on myself, I'd feel like a thief.

KY law states that child support can be spent on anything for the child....a place to live, a car to ride in, heat, air, food, etc.

He said that the money was meant to take care of them. What did he think I was doing? He actually tried to tell the county attorney that I was spending the child support on my car payment. She told him that even if I was using the child support for my car payment, our children were being driven around in the car. That went over really well.
