My relative who works for Anderson EMS said Heroin OD`s in Lburg has really become a multi nightly occurence. Just last week someone in the Wal-Mart parking lot died from heroin. What has happened to our innocent town??

I dont know but this really concerns me. I have 2 children and its scary.I have seen people I know from yrs ago that I thought would never get wrapped up in something like this, and to see them now its sad. There is so much more to life then that..There are so many people in this town that are lost and I pray one day they find there way..
God didn't promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow, or sun without rain, but He did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears, and light for the way. If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it.

This is definately a bad problem, but someone has their facts wrong. No one died in the Wal-Mart deal. Concern is appreciated but have your facts straight before stating a problem.

I'm 52, been told by many younger individuals, 15-35; they feel a NEED to do drugs...pills..meth..heroin.. Many will say this day in age is not what they perceive the 60's & 70's as; when many 'partied to have fun and/ or rebel. This day a variety of drugs are taken just to cope. God helps us...all :)

Well now that she is 30 days sober, she is looking good again! As for the newspaper...it also states she lives on humston drive which is not true...so until you ask Meg what exactly happened that day, no one besides those who were there knows what was going on.

You think finding a job wouldnt be so hard to many people on drugs an im clean however they have jobs. i have given up on socitey in general. i think the world of this town however needs to crack down on the drugs. However guess you have to go by procedures o well. everyone jus be safe out there keep your heads up. an remember we a commuinty. maybe we need a drug rehab here in the county

She may be looking 'better', but drug use of that sort will cause detrimental affects to your physical looks depending on how much you used. The looks of people who use hard drugs like these for years will have less of a chance that they may return. Please don't take this the wrong way, as I am NOT saying she has used for this long. I was just throwing that out there in general. I do agree with you as for only the people there know what really went on, however, the needles laying next to the kids was a statement released by someone who WAS there. Good for her for being sober for 30 days, but is this ONLY because she was locked up? If she hadn't gotten caught, would she have stopped? NO matter the reason, it is a great accomplishment that she is. I feel for her terribly, because the physical affects of withdrawl are far worse than anyone could imagine. It is pain like you have never felt before. I, too, am now 1 year 3 months clean. Hopefully, this is a step in the right direction for her, and she can begin her road to recovery.

I seen in the paper that one more scum bucket dope dealer has been busted. Selling to undercovers.. then as they raided the place more people were showing up to buy! 4 children were taking by social services. one couple left their child in the car while they did their deal. I'm glad they got the dealers, L-burg does not need heroin we have enough drugs to fight here. hopefully the children will be ok.
