Left Wal-Mart earlier tonight and was so mad that I called the store manager back. The cashier never even acknowledged me, even after I said hello, and then a little chit-chat, never got any comment from him, but he must have had a buddy behind me because as I was wheeling out the cart he was all chatty with the next customer. I've been in retail and even on my worst day I NEVER treated a customer so disrespectfully. I always acknowledged them and THANKED them for their business. There are plenty of other places for me to spend my $100.

listen, everyone always has a issue about something like this. you cant judge everything on what you think you know. Maybe he didnt hear you cuz it is loud in wal mart at the front especially if its busy plus so many things are happening at once he might not have been paying attention. And maybe he did know the person behind you...so what? Maybe he is shy to talk to people he doesnt know like me doesnt mean he was purposely being rude. when i go to a store i dont care if a employee talks to me or not as long as they do their job and do it right or atleast attempt to find answers for me then thats all that matters. Not trying to start a conversation to a cashier that has to focus on checking your stuff out without making a mistake. Im not saying your a bad person or anything just think about that kind of stuff before you come up with your conclusion.

everyone should work in retail to know what it's like, even if you are having a bad day you shouldn't let your customers know that, you should be cordial to EVERYONE and saying hello doesn't take much effort if I'm going to be spending my hard earned money i would certainly appreciate a thank you as well, but that's hard to come by anymore. If you are shy then you shouldn't be working out on the front end of a business that you are supposedly representing.

I like most of em there. There's a few that will make stuff like milk cheaper just because they know it's cheaper somewhere else. I always try to go through their lines

I always go through Austin's line if he's working. He's always very nice, and quick. I have had a few of the older women cashiers be very rude to me, I've never complained to management or anything, I usually just try to avoid their lines if I can. But Austin is great.

an older gentleman cashier was standing on isle 17 yesterday with the light off. I had 3 things and asked if he could check me out. He said no I go on break in 5 min and I'm waiting. Okay I had 3 things. Went through his isle today and he said nothing at all. I was so mad! Handed me my ticket and never said a word!

there was a douche bag in their the other day too. It was the first time I'd ever been so annoyed with a cashier. He was visibly just being shitty, my card wasn't wanting to scan and instead of help he huffed and puffed while I FIGURED OUT what was wrong. I had to use a bag so it was obviously their machine NOT my card because it works EVERYWHERE else.

BUT on a positive note like someone else said Austin is always great, and I don't know him outside of wal-mart so that's not why he is nice. Also zach has always been great, and I went through a girls line the other night, she's new I think because I'd never seen her before.

how about all of the RUDE customers? I get so frustrated when I see customers get down right rude with the cashiers every time something goes wrong while they are checking out. Like when a customer brings an item through the checkout line that doesn't have a price or barcode on it and then get mad at the cashier when they have to stand there and wait for a CSM to come help. there is only so much a cashier is allowed to do. PICK AN ITEM WITH A BARCODE. or when the customer plays tug of war with the bag corral. let the cashier fill the bags and THEN take them off. or even worse, when the cashier continues to sit bags on top of every free surface because their bag corrall is full and the customer just continues to just stand there. or when you see customers putting items that they dont want on the gum and candy racks. really? or when customers try to put their WIC items in with regular grocery items. or when a customer gets rude with the cashier because THEIR card was declined. or frustrated because the debit card machine doesn't read their CRACKED and SCRATCHED up debit card.. yeah, thats TOTALLY the cashiers fault.. NOT. I'm sure there have been times when you weren't so nice yourself. the first thing you do when you leave the store is call the manager and get the kid in trouble? thats really nice of you. he probably was just shy. you could have cost the boy his job just because he didn't speak to you. he may have never worked in retail before and maybe hasn't learned the proper way to greet people.. so lets just get the boy in trouble and see if that fixes it.. YEAH, THATS REALLY NICE AND CONSIDERATE OF YOU...that is probably his first job in retail or first job period. not everyone is going to speak to you and not everyone is cut out for customer service..so your theory is to just get them in trouble or fired? because who honestly calls a manager and complains about someone who didn't speak to them unless they WANT that person to be sanctioned?? geez, what a tattle tell.

whatever you are obviously a wal-mart cashier and obviously a shitty one at that..MY card is not cracked or worn out I just got it in april because the other one WAS cracked and WAS a bitch to get scanned I never once blamed it on the cashier what I WILL blame on a cashier is when my perfectly good, perfectly working debit card w/ plenty of funds is saying card read error over and over and all they do is STAND their lazy ass there and look at me like it's my fault the machines are crap. Also if you are "shy" or whatever other excuse you want to make for being piss poor at your job you shouldn't CHOOSE a job in retail. I don't care if your dog died that morning it's your job to make our experience at your place of employment enjoyable or at least tolerable, especially if you want to keep everyone's business because I assume that job is most likely what puts food on your table, and keeps a roof over your head. And just an FYI I never call management when someone is a douche, BUT if someone else does that's their prerogative. AND the guy I was saying was a douche bag was at least a couple years older than me, I'd guess 26-27ish and obviously was NOT shy, I also doubt that is his first job. And guess what if I have that guy again and he has the same shit face attitude I WILL go to the customer service desk right then and complain because once is a fluke, but twice means it's a habit and IDGAF if he gets fired because if he can't be happy or at least put on a fake happy face for his shift than he needs to find a new job where he Is NOT working w/ the public. You don't like it again IDGAF!

I'm not a cashier and I agree with whatever! Cashiers have to deal with snotty, hateful customers, screaming misbehaved children, and whatever else is thrown their way. They catch hell because there aren't enough cashiers when they don't make the schedule. Management does the schedule, go gripe about that. They have to put up with it because they have to make a living. Have you tried to look for a job lately? I'm in that store every day for something and most of the cashiers are friendly. If I have a problem with one, guess what? I avoid their line! Problem solved. But it would seem to me that you'd rather just be a total b*tch. Sometimes you have to earn respect before you get it in return. Have you ever tried smiling at one of them or asking how they are. I doubt it because it's all about you. People like you annoy me.

So let me get this straight. You'd rather drive all the way to frankfort to the walmart there JUST because they have more lanes open? By the time you even drive there, you'd already be checked out and on your way home.

when you put the gas in my car I'll start driving to frankfort for just diapers, or wipes whatever I pop in for that day. Until you're putting gas in my car then you can STFU. And also I normally have a decent convo with the cashiers I can actually remember a couple friendly convo's w/ austin, zach, melissa, samantha, a new girl(I didn't get her name & I had never seen her before so I assume she is new), callie, and if I sat here a little longer I could think of a few more, probably. To be honest I actually can't remember the last time I didn't at least say hi, how are you, and bye to my cashier no matter what store I shop at. This guy though was in super douche mode, after I said hi I got zero response until my card started messing up, and then I got a huff and a puff. I finally had to say do you think you could try to help me I don't see why it's not working to which I got another huff and puff an eye roll and then he extended his hand and reached for the card. There is no excuse for having such a shitty attitude, I can't help it that he hasn't gotten laid in a year or 5. Like I've said 20 times if you can't handle a job in retail you shouldn't have picked it. Any dim wit knows that any job involving the public is going to be dealing with the PEOPLE that make up "the public". Also I don't remember complaining about how insanely long the lines are even at midnight because they only ever have 2-4 registers open, but thanks for giving me an excuse to because it is extremely annoying that I sometimes spend 5mins shopping and then 15-20 minutes in line, but trust me I know if I want to complain about the lines, and actually want something done, I need to talk to someone important, I'm not an idiot. I also caught the guys name when I was in there the other day, he seemed in the same shitty ass mood, but I didn't go through his line so I have no idea whether he was or not, I could also be slamming him all over topix, but I have class so I won't name names unless I personally have another bad experience with him. So that brings me to one last thing, I wish it was ALL about me, but the reality is that it's not, nor will it ever be ALL about me OR anyone else.

Seriously if you tell Kim you're probably not going to get him fired.. Tell her straight out that you don't want to make him loose his job but something needs to be done and there are plenty of jobs in that store he could do to work with the public less if at all! She is a real understanding person! If you guys didn't know she has been the store manager at the Lawrenceburg walmart over 25 years now! She understands! Don't waste your time with Sam.
