Class of 2013 - Your nuts! Who would put all those numbers on Topix! That's just stupid! Think about it, all those students will have to attend college with students from all over the state that did score better than Anderson County. Woodford County and Fayette County did score better than Anderson County. Where do you think that those students will attend college out of state? Get Real! They will attend college right here in state with our very own Anderson County students probably at UK, Eastern, Georgetown, or other universities in state. So quit posting all these needless numbers. What will you say to those students who are sitting beside the student who is not as prepared for the class? Call the teacher and ask them to tutor me because we made a 19.6 and we are improving every year. PLEASE! Make me want to laugh........All these kids need help in math, reading, science, and english to keep up with students from around the state and nationally.

I need to print that also and send it to Shelia Mitchell which probally will do no good, because they are more than likely doing the same.

I earned an ACT composite of 31. What was yours? Our class is in the top 26 percent in the state. Yes, better than 74%. When you idiot grow ups are putting down the ACT scores, you are putting down me and my classmates. You are a loser hater. But hate on cause that is your way.

Sarah, what was your ACT composite? Mine was 31 on my first try. I come from a line of successful engineers that all graduated from UK. Go Bearcats! Go Wildcats! Sarah is a barely literate hater loser.

Congratulations, Class of 2013, on your success, and I wish you continued success in the future. I realize what follows is unsolicited advice and that you likely get enough grown-ups giving you plenty of that, so please accept the following with my apologies. If you wish to rise above the pettiness on this site (a tall order, I will definitely grant you), keep the comments classy. Let the data and your accomplishments speak for themselves. And let the posts of others, either well-composed or decomposing, speak for themselves as well. Anderson County has produced some fine students who have gone on to do many wonderful things, and the ignorant remarks of others on a message board will do nothing to diminish that, so don't sink to the vitriol of others. And have a great senior year! It'll go by faster than you'll think.:)

Congradulations on your high ACT scores, but what about the rest of your class? You brought the schools average up. You both seem to come from families that are very educated you will have success where ever you go. I am happy for you but what about the ones who don't have it as good as you and are struggling are they getting the same education as you? I don't think so

I think it is stupid that all of the highschool students had to pay $50 for textbooks. Good thing I had free lunch so I didnt have to pay. I wonder where that $50 actuallt went to.

Honestly, the parents are a lot to blame for these low test scores. If you take the time to care about your kids and make sure they are learning their material they will be fine. My parents were very involved in my academic life. I graduated in 2009 with an ACT score of a 29 from Anderson County High School and I am graduating college in May. I was MORE than prepared for college because I actually tried in high school and my parents pushed me to be the best I can be. Stop constantly tearing down the school system, most of them ARE doing their jobs... and doing them very well. It is YOU and YOUR CHILD who is not.

I don't teach in AC but am a teacher and I must agree with you. I call and call parents and never hear back. When report cards go home and a student has an F and you never hear from the parents, there is the problem. Society wants to blame everyone else instead of taking responsibility themselves. Our government does it and it trickles down from there! TAKE RESPONSIBILITY PEOPLE! I am, as a teacher! If my students don't know the information I make sure I go above and beyond to offer them opportunities to get it! What are the parents doing to help their child?

I'm sick and tired of as a taxpayer they shouldnt make that much money. I highly doubt coach peach doesnt pay taxes. you more then likely have a bad job and have no motivation to find a higher paid job. so with that said the more money he makes the more he gets taxed out of it, which in turn he pays part of his paycheck every single month. just cause your a tax payer doesnt mean your the only one paying taxes dips*t

Chris Webb is the best. He's the best teacher a student can get knowledge from. I'm lucky that he taught me. He is over achieved high school teacher. I respect that even though he retired he still teaches physics (what he taught me) and he has ample knowledge in science and all kind I'd math.
