You kill anybody especially cold blooded killing you should stay in jail the rest of your LIFE. A life for a life.

If justice was not delayed and he had been executed in 1982 like he should have been for that murder, he would not be around twenty-five years later and still costing the taxpayers even more money by requesting new trials, filing motions, etc.

Did I just read that? So if you wait long enough and serve half your time, you'll get out just to do it again. How sad there is no voice for the victims.

This is why they should have been executed back in the 80's. The only thing being released should be their bodies to their families for burial. This fact remains; an executed murderer has never murdered again.

These two scumbags did not hesitate to take the life of two innocent elderly persons. If we as a society do not have the will to execute the murderers then we are doomed.

One getting out after serving half his sentence, the other wanting a new trial after 25 years, amazing. He's counting on there not being anyone to testify against him to get off on the next one.

These guys are dangerous, they proved it with the brutel slayings. They should not be on the street. Who'll be next?

The only fitting punishment for murder is death. By taking a life you make it known that you approve of that behavior, even if someone does it to you.

He murdered three people and they are letting him out? Call the Governor now, I don't care if he has "behaved well and there are no problems here". He should have been executed.

This is a prime example of the litigation for profit system we have in the US of A. During the original trial the small county of Pike paid over $200,000 in court appointed attorneys for these 2. They were convicted, sentenced, but after multiple appeals, costing more taxpayer monies, they are finally going to be set free, what a system. Great for lawyers pocketbooks. We should all be lawyers.

An excellent argument to any opposing Capitol punishment. A killer believes in killing regardless of what others think....so give them the same. Irag does have 1 good idea over us though. They carry their death sentences out within 30 days. Think of all the money us tax payers would save if we did the same.

Fact is a fact. Were telling these people its alright to take a few lives because in return you'll get out in a few years. I think the laws need some improvement tougher and more strick put a fear in these dumb butt that will make them think twice before doing something wrong again. When you just slap these people on the hand no wondering why the dont care!

Let's see ... half of sixty years is thirty years. Thirty plus 1981 equals 2011. He must have been a VERY good boy!

It's all about lawyers making money at $600 plus per hour throughout the "billable part of their day" ! The lawyers can't get the really lucrative repeat criminal offenders unless they're out among us to perpetrate more horrendous crimes, and since primarily Soc/Dems are trying to disarm American citizens to pave the way for their New World Socialist Order under the United Nations' control by using the "less guns, less crime" philosophy scheme, there are more and more victims and potential victims created , like the Hilborns . The politicians win, the trial lawyers win the legal business gathers fortunes (at our expense), the criminals win and provide repeat business for the lawyers, and WE lose !
Remember, every time a violent criminal is killed by a potential victim, or executed in prison it's a PERMANENT pay cut for the trial lawyers, a judge and the bail-bond agents .

Thats the rules...he served his time, and now he's out. You can't blame him for serving his time and getting out. The government obviously made this the way of the law for some reason. Over 25 years in prison would be un-imaginable and that was what he got for what he did. If he would have killed their friends from church he would have got maybe 30 years.

Great, now he gets out and has a chance to murder more people. He should have gotten life. Whoever reduced the sentence needs to go to prison too.
