If he was really insane, he'd have been naked or dressed in women's clothing, and not as a delivery guy.

You've got to be kidding me..What if you get caught and a celebrity then you go directly to rehab and everything is better, so I guess this guy don't drink so he had to fake mental illness. He is not sick, he got caught !!!! If he would have finished what he started and didn't get caught I wonder if he would be suicidle then ?

If he attacked a 80 year old he might be crazy. Planning and executing an attack such as this isn't crazy. What bar did he meet her in a few weeks before the attack ? Let the victim choose the punishment....

If he thinks he's going to get away with this, he IS crazy.

Better check his movements in the past.

Insane?? I think not! This monster targeted this beautiful young lady. He obviously put much thought into this attack, seeing as he used his business to inappropriately gain personal information about his victim and her family. He planned the approach in that he acquired a DHL uniform, and took with him a "package" so that would be believable. Hardly screams insanity with that much premeditation!!! He brutally beat this young lady, beginning with a blow to the back of her head. I believe he thought he would knock her out with that hit. Thank God he didn't. I am so proud of her. She handled this situation with such courage and bravery! As horrible as it is, it is a reality of the world we live in today. And monsters like him can come from any socio-economic background, and look like your normal person. I have shared this tragedy with my teenage daughter, and used it as an example of what to do if ever you are attacked! Fight with everything you have! Hit, kick, scratch, scream and whatever you do, don't let them tie you up, or take you from that location. I pray that just because this sicko has money, that Lady Justice will prevail. He needs to understand that he can't buy his way out of everything! I pray for his victim, that she may have the continued strength and courage to face the many challenges of what the future holds, not only in her physical recovery, but her emotional one as well. My prayers also go out to the families of both the victim and Mr. Carl. I'm sure it's hard to realize that someone you've loved is actually just another face of the devil!!

Mercy only if he has a terminal brain tumor. He planned it attack and only turned himself in because he got caught. By his criteria just about everyone in prison could be judged insane.

"he was insane on Monday" oh do you suddenly become insane just for a day? give me a break. DRUGS MAKE PEOPLE DO BAD THINGS. Give him a drug test then lock him up with Bubba and see if he is insane enough to attack Bubba. What a crock!

Fisrt of all why was he not arrested??? Why was Fishers waiting for him to turn himself in?? Is this a new type of crime fighting in Fishers? Commit a felony (strangulation is an assault or attempted murder) and its okay you turn yourseldf in when you would like to, why we will schedule an appointment to make it convient. Also rememeber we have a prosecutor who couldn't prosecute and win any case. Also when was the last time Fishers actually made a major arrest or solved a big case. As long as its painted yellow and has Hamilton Southeastern on the side they can handle that, and even writing tickets is another and the only other thing Fishers PD can do. Believe me Fishers PD and the town of Fishers are one big joke.

Don't you love what his lawyer said: "I believe he was insane Monday. I don't know if he still is or not."

In that case, I guess I'll call into work "insane" tomorrow so I can go to the fair.

Please wait until you've heard the details of this case before you eternally damnate this man. He is a good father and husband. This is now coming down on his wife and children because the irresponsible media is showing footage of their house and cars. Please let the facts come out in this case before you say things like "execute him" or "hang him".

Most of y'all are ignorant judgmental holier-than-thou doofuses. You know nothing other than the fluffy tidbits from the article, but that makes you an expert and gives you license to condemn.

Is it a "thrill" to see your blog in print, or what??

Now, c'mon with the personal attacks! Make yourself proud.

Insane or premeditation? A wealthy business-owner poses as a DHL delivery man...not an insane moment, he planned just didn't go as he planned so now...he's insane. Of course.

WOW!! I just looked to scumbag up on the computer and we drop anchor right by his house when the kids swim in the lake. I think we will find a new place. Sounds kind of like a serial killer to me!

It says in the article that he was involuntarily committed to the psych ward at Community North and would be arrested upon his release. If he's there involuntarily, he's not going anywhere until the doctors decide he's not a threat to himself or others.

Does no one have a problem with the fact that Fishers Police were waiting for him to turn himself in. Usually when a person is assaulted, and there is a suspect and they have hisa address the police go and arrest him. But it seems that Fishers is like a force of Barney Fifes
