I was in the Plumbers union for 30 years and our union parasite-bosses had enough brains to sign a n0-strike'caluse in 1955. It worked for both sides for decades because we always worked during contract talks.

We also had a no strike clause in our contract. It worked out fine. Of course there were other ways of relaying that we were not happy. Trouble is, the members did not stick together. We tried to work with the company as much as possible to keep things running. In the company that I worked for, it was not the workers that done it in, it was the big wigs at the top. Today none of them are there because they almost broke the company. In fact the did break the company and it was taken over by another company. The first plan they had was to get rid of the union as soon as the could. But with ObamaCare, I do not look for this company to survive much longer.

Unions have no say in the recipes used in this or any other bakery. You people are so fu**ing ignorant because your right-wing playbook contains no facts.
The use of preservatives is a very capitalistic idea--the longer a product lasts, the longer you can keep it on the market. And you oviously have never made bread before.

Whatever, you ignorant troll.
Sown specifically laid out exactly why the union product suffers.

The company that I retired from, it was the management fault. Being a small company they wanted to be like Wal-Mart. They borrowed money to expand only to see that it was not going to fly. Got into money trouble with no way out of it. Still they drained the bank by giving out bonuses. Bonuses to the front office, not to labor. They shrugged off any solutions that we had. Funny thing is when a new company came in and took over those same idea's started to taking place. They sold off parts of the company to recover some of the debt. They put new products into the stores. Still it was a long road to recover what the family did to the business.

Uh, businesses can be mismanaged but that has nothing to do with the problem unions create in free enterprise. Unions no longer serve a purpose except to line the pockets of some thug's pockets and obama's extended hand. Hostess has been attempting to survive in a shrinking market as parents are no longer putting Ding Dongs and Twinkies in their kids' lunch boxes. Greedy unions expect the hand outs and would rather cause a business to fail than lose the fight.

Yep Unions today are just full of Union Bosses that go out and still beat up people. They burn down companies that get out of line. If you try to cross that line they follow you home and set your house on fire.
Lets see, when was the last time we read headlines that the Unions we doing all this? Ages ago.

Unions today try to work with companies. But you are right about one thing, Unions are a thing of the past. Why? Because you can not get even the members to stick together today. Want a slow down in work? expect less then 25% to take part.

But don't worry, Unions will come back as soon as workers get tired of them adding part time jobs and paying them what they can by with. Now got to work on Thanksgiving day because there is no union going to fight against the companies that is going to be open Thursday.

Holy sheet, someone has to work on Thanksgiving, unfair! Isn't it just terrible people have to work in the hospitals, defend our country, protect citizens from crime, handle fires, etc. The nerve a company will stay open on a holiday.....oh the nerve!

Unions today are involved in the same kind of thuggery, you are lying. They don't work with companies either. They try to bully companies out of more money which always is passed down to consumers. I have always tried to solicit non union businesses with the hopes they too will figure out a way to get rid of these militant pests.

yes. they are all crooked.

The union is right. Maybe they need to start ordering hits from the mafia to deal with crooked management.

The average mafia dude does more good for his community in a day than the average republican in a lifetime.

We need to get back to reasonable and commonsense governing or the corp bosses can pay with their lives.

I agree! Saw a guy at walmart trying to return a cart full of twinkies and they wouldn't take them back because they no longer carry that item! Lol who knew twinkies would be "discontinued" ?! Ill admit, my cousin works at hostess and she filled my trunk up with twinkies, zingers, cupcakes, donuts, bread, breadsticks, those fruit pies, potato chips, and cookies! Most of it is in my freezer! I'm a fat man with a survival kit now! Bring on the apocalypse!!!!!

That is ok with these posters. They don't want unions standing up for anyone. The union as big bad union bosses, bossing everyone around. The CEO should have given himself a 600%. Most of these posters here don't care what the company does.
