I live in a Franklin subdivision and at my kids bus stop there are probably about 12-15 kids every morning. There are 4 houses where the parents stand outside and watch the bus stop faithfully everyday. We dont walk them to the bus stop so they feel they still have their independence, but we are right there if needed. Maybe more parents up in that area could do well to follow an example so that they can make sure their kids are safe. You can go back to sleep after the bus picks them up. First priority should be your kids.

This is a new low for the criminals out there. I wouldn't normally condone violence to remedy the situation, but if someone attempted to rob my child, I'd make that criminal regret the day he/she was born. I'm sure most parents would feel the same way. When it comes to protecting your family, all of the rules are out the window.

So credents are now targeting grade schoolers for their milk money?

Come on parents. Why not rotate parking next to the bus stops until the bus arives.

Did you ever stop and think that maybe these kids were teenagers? When I was a teenager my mother did not walk me to the bus stop or wait with me until the bus came.

You cannot prepare for this type of crime. How many people are going to think that there kids are going to be robbed at gun point on the bus stop.

Students of any age should not take anything to school but their material to work in school, no cell phones, no games of any kind, no i-pods, I hope parents and students get the message.

I am right there with you. Hell hath no fury than me when my family or property is threatened. I work too hard for everything I have, including a law-abiding, society-contributing family, to have some lazy, sociopathic scum bag take it away. Is there really any jury out there that would convict someone trying to protect their own?

Please....The students shouldn't be afraid to take lunch money, ipods, or anything else. To rob a kid at a bus stop is tantamount to stealing flowers from a grave. I hope whoever did this will get caught and rot in jail for a long time!!

Only someone whose character is as rotten as yours could come up with something this repugnant. Congratulations, you have outdone even yourself.
What an offensive lowlife and degenerate.

Are we to be shocked that the blacks are stealing from children now? They have never been taught any better.

I have a question. Why in the world are children at a bus stop at 6:45 in the morning? If we are going to have "daylight savings", then we need to make provisions, like starting school an our later, to keep children safe. As bad as this is, it could have been much worse! There are predators everywhere!
