And Vice President Biden said the sequester made him rethink the military flights he takes to his home state of Delaware. He said Wednesday that he's going to go back to taking the train

House Speaker John Boehner announced Wednesday that he is suspending the use of military aircraft for official travel by House lawmakers

Tens of thousands of federal workers are expected to be furloughed.

I bet that you and I will never see these spending cuts. If you listen to Obama, you thought the sky would be falling today. What he really meant was that he might have to stay home for more then a week.

Why don't they try some of their own spending cuts. How about all the vacations they took over the last 4 years. Why not tell the elected or appointed officals don't remodel your office or order new mahogany desks cause it aint in the budget. Both parties are guilty of it, both want the luxury lifestyles. The cut the poor mans bread to a 1/2 loaf so they can enjoy the bakery. You people voted for him and the one before that. Look in the mirror, not in washington. Revolution might stop it. Over the next few years you gonna see nothing but crazy. They will blame american companies and ceo's why the economy is failing. Some other building will blow up or terrorist plane will crash to divert your attention. Then all will be forgotten until the next washington announcement of your jobs will be cut and taxes have to be raise.

Man, if think the Dems are going to take a hit for this mess, you must be the one bogarting Moe's joint. This isn't as simple as wrong or right. Repubs had the chance to push this issue and go over the cliff some time ago, but the can was quicked down the road. Spending cuts need to be so deep,, the cliff is congress way of no body taking the blame for the cuts. But watch and see if repubs dont take the blame and Boehner is the scapegoat. Obama kissed the Repubs ass for four years. Repubs failed to respect Obama as a one and done and now Obama has a boner.
Washington DC. will continue on and the middle class has already been broke into a third. Now the middle class takes a huge blow. The question should be,,, what are we going to do now?

So tired of hearing about it. Cuts here, cuts there, cuts cuts everywhere "IF." Stopped extended unemployment-----2 days later they reinstate it. Michelle is exercising with kids so they won't be fat. Women are doing less housework and getting fatter. So sick of hearing all the b.s. that I'm not watching the news for a while.

You know some fat guy was behind that study. Chugging a slurpee and downing a Big Mac while his wife was at home cleaning and washing his dirty clothes.

This is REALLY how they're going to 'make it' in Washington DC.

Snopes, that little left-leaning think tank that libs love to rely on for ACCURATE information, actually confirms the following intentions of the President of our country:

CONFIRMED. Argue with that.

I'm comming back into the world after retiring five years ago. I'm looking at all of the jobs going unfilled. All need training and I'm no spring chicken but it's what we all better looking at. I'm looking to find what I like doing this time and start over. My economy crashed in 09 and took almost everything I had saved including my job. I'm numb from read from Washington. I do not want a job from my government but I would like some access to some training. We all need at least two skills to make it now

Sorry to hear that you lost everything but I have good news for you. I find employers are looking for middle age, even older workers today. Why? Because we show up for work everyday on time. Have you ever been someplace where a worker does not seem to have it together but they still let them work? I have and the reason is that at least they are dependable. They show up when asked to. And we are not going to bounce from job to job every few weeks. Not to mention middle and older age still know how to dress for work and we have less tats. The main problem with workers today, they look for reasons not to be at work. Good Luck in your search and hope you the best.

I know from the republican's history over the last 2 years they've tried to stop and block "everything" that could help America. This is more of the same.

"For the next two years, we canít let you (Obama/Biden) succeed in anything. Thatís our ticket to coming back."

If you have a specific place in mind you want to work and can volunteer a few hours, it's a good way to get a foot in the door. Then learn all you can.

So you think going further into debt is good for America. I hope you don't run your financial life with the same outlook. If so you will be in bankruptcy court within the year.

Careful, the 'I-refuse-to-pay-my-bills-crew ' will accuse you of being on welfare and give soap box speeches about how difficult their lives are for any opinion different than theirs. It's a rather unjust society we live in when free clinic turns out to be not so free. Boo hoo.
