We'll see what the people of Toccoa really feel about due process and executing innocent people next election. If they reelect the sheriff and the DA who arranged the grand jury and was the only one who presented info he wanted the grand jury to see so there could only be one outcome... and that you are ok with it speaks a lot for you and your values towards human life.

Did I say I agrees with the Grand Jury?? Read Ron. Read. I am distressed because this happened at all, a man is dead, our law enforcement is rightfully questioned, a child will not know his father, it is a huge black eye to our town. There are a million reasons to hate that this happened on legal, moral, financial, spiritual levels. I read you posts as blaming an entire town for this incident. We cannot lynch the grand jury because of their findings. I am not sure what they saw and heard. I do know some of the people on there to be good people...law abiding, church going, business owners, etc. Not degenerates. I did not see the evidence. I did not know anyone involved. I do not agree but at what point do we blame them and not the system. Do I blame our hospital? No. Please tell me you don't think the nurses in the ER were in on some vast conspiracy to kill Rev. Ayers. I feel sure they did all hey could to save him. Are we Greenville Memorial? NO but our local providers do a good job.
I am not sure of many things about this case. But am I am sure that you do not know me and make rash assumptions. You do not know my town and yet you make rash assumptions. Get back on the topic...the crime committed not shucking blame to others because it is not handled the way we want it to be. I agree, we will see what the Sheriff here does over the next months, we will see how we fair with him in other areas.

You are right, I value the life of a police officer doing his job to protect others more than I do a lying cheating preacher who thinks it's ok to run over others so he doesn't get caught with his whore. Seems it is the preacher who had a different value of life.

Ex-Wis. deputy gets prison for punching suspect
(AP) 19 hours ago

MILWAUKEE A former Wisconsin sheriff's deputy caught on video punching a handcuffed suspect in the back of a squad car has been sentenced to 18 months in prison.

Scott Krause was sentenced Friday in Milwaukee after prosecutors played a video that shows the 38-year-old former sergeant hitting 34-year-old Ray Calderon in the face several times.

Calderon is shown tapping and kicking the car's back window with his foot, cursing and asking to use the bathroom after his Oct. 16 arrest.

Krause's defense attorney says Krause was diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder after two Army combat tours and doesn't remember punching Calderon.

Krause tearfully apologized Friday. He earlier pleaded no contest to felony misconduct in public office and misdemeanor battery.

So I guess that this means Richard has to give up on his Police cover up conspiracy theory in these type cases....
