First Corinthians 12:13: "For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body."
That's not what it says.
1 Cor 12:13
For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body — whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free — and have all been made to drink into one Spirit.
NKJV
Under the influence of the Holy Spirit through the gospel a person is immersed into Christ for the forgiveness of sins.
Eph 4:5
one Lord, one faith, one baptism

Ok, lets use the scripture you posted.

"For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body.

Breaking it down:

For we were all baptized (Ok this part is easy)

by one Spirit (it does not say water it says (Spirit)

Think for a moment? According to your theology the Spirit comes after water baptism. Here it says we are all baptized (BY) one Spirit into one body.

Where is the water?????

Here is some advice for you:

Try any translation and see if it says water.

King James:12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

Ok heathy boy, Have you been made to drink into one Spirit??

Notice this is Spirit with capital (S)

Did you notice the scripture says (ALL) meaning not the apostles only or the 120 with them.

One Lord =Jesus the Christ

One faith= the cross

One baptism= Spirit

Water baptism illustrates in physical terms what the reality is in Spiritual terms.

How did you die with Jesus on the cross?

Were our sins cast upon Jesus at the cross?

There was no sin in Jesus. 2 cor 5:21 yet He was made to be sin for us.

How and why was Jesus made sin?

How did we die together with Jesus? We were buried with him in his death.

Did we die at physical baptism? No but we did die. How? our old nature was put to death by the Spirit. This is how we drink into one Spirit.

Sin in the believer is located in the physical body.

Hope this helps.

Romans 12 Why does the mind need to be renewed? Because it is part of the old physical body we still (temporally) live in. It will die one day but the new (born again body will live for eternity.

In the meantime we are called to spread the gospel to the world. This is why we do not go immediately go to heaven along with the fact that we like Adam and Noah we are called to replenish the earth as we pro-create.

Was I supposed to notice something special?

You do realize it has nothing to with what I asked right?

1. How do you reconcile Matt. 5:14 and John 17:21 with a CoC viewpoint?

2. How do you reconcile the fact that the 1st century church in Antioch, the one Peter started, the one spoke of in Acts, did not hold CoC views?

3. How did the 1st century churches use the new testament as their guide when it was not completed yet?

LOL!

So the ONE baptism is Spirit. Then he says TWICE in the seven ones of unity that there's ONE SPIRIT???

Bobby, give us the passages that talk about water baptism and its purpose.

For me it is impossible, I can't do it! Only the Spirit of God can transform your thinking. Every time you see the word baptism you automatically see water. You can't help it it is the way you were trained-programed.

One faith-one baptism-one Spirit, absolutely. Water baptism is the symbol and Spirit baptism is the reality.

You claim to have the Spirit. That being the case He can show me through you.

Please give me the passages that speak of WATER BAPTISM.

Nope, only God can open a closed mind. This is something you do not understand or believe. The Holy Spirit is an active influence in the world today. So is satan, by the way.

Ps 15
1 Lord, who may abide in Your tabernacle?
Who may dwell in Your holy hill?
2 He who walks uprightly,
And works righteousness,
And speaks the truth in his heart;
3 He who does not backbite with his tongue,
Nor does evil to his neighbor,
Nor does he take up a reproach against his friend;
4 In whose eyes a vile person is despised,
But he honors those who fear the Lord;
He who swears to his own hurt and does not change;
5 He who does not put out his money at usury,
Nor does he take a bribe against the innocent.
He who does these things shall never be moved.

Notice how I use the Old Testament to back up this point but ignore it on the musical instrument in church controversy. How convenient!

4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.(Rom.15:4)

11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.(1Cor.10:11)

It is always best to use BCV if at all possible. The word of God can explain it much better than I. You either accept it or reject it.(Acts 28:24)

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Leo

Perhaps it's the fact that it's Christmas Eve and everyone is busy, but you can't help feeling that you're walking on eggshells around certain people. Their emotions are very close to the surface and could erupt at a moment's notice, perhaps in a storm of tears or a fit of pique. Calm them down and ask if you can do anything to help.
