As my 18 year old daughter would say, WTH?(what the heck). Front page of this weeks newspaper is a artical written by none other than David Wilfong himself titled "Citizens want action on RC road repairs. He says and I quote "Many had difficulty speaking english but their underlying request was well understood". David, was there a meaning behind this, a reason you felt you had to say that? Do you have a problem with those of different cultures speaking less than perfect english? Are you one of those who say "If you live in the USA you should learn our language" I can agree and disagree on this subject. But main thought i have is, would you want to live in mexico? and i'm not talking about the nice areas where people go on vacation, those people normally dont die trying to get to the freedom of america. what about other countries out there whos freedom never was, or their so poverty ridden they are living in shacks? Ok, so let them learn our language, but dont you also think that as US citizens, a land "Under God", should take a stand and maybe try to understand them a little more? i'm sure you read about the lady who was ticketed because she couldnt speak english? how far are we going to go? We live in an evil, dark world. By not accepting others for who they are, we are creating more darkness, allowing more hate and evil to exist. It's like telling a friend about some guy you saw at walmart with a neat car or something but instead of just saying that you saw a man, you have to say "i saw this black man the other day". who gives a shi++ that he was black, it was a human. Am I a mexican going off, or a black man trying to be heard. Nope, just an old, wrinkly white country red neck who is proud to live in the USA and yeah while I dont like a lot of stuff happening to and in our country and in the white house, I still love living inthe land of the free and try to get along with everyone. Makes my life a lot easier.

OK...BUT I should not have to press 1 to continue in English WTF? This is America, learn English or deal with it. I would not move to Mexico City and not learn how to speak Spanish, so what is the big deal about them learning English?

My guess is you are not a White Country Redneck from Texas anywho.(Maybe a Yank from North of the OK Border)

Ok guys you knew this was coming so i'll saay it.

What about the Muslim that we took in as our own, placed him in a position of authority and honor and he slaughtered our brothers, sister, sons, and daughters....

I love everyone truly as a Christian, but America cannot hold every unhappy citizen of the world, as much as we would want to help.

The days of Ellis Island are long gone, we must be more alert to dangers.

While i understand, this has nothing to do with what happened in Ft Hood. I guess my main thought is why did he feel he had to write that sentence, as if it would make a difference in the story. I agree that we need to watch our borders, but of mexicans? Did you hear about the white guy who beat up the other white man in forney because he told him to slow down? Its every one and every where. All i am saying is we live in an evil world, lets just show some more consideration for otehrs. not all of us are bad.

No it does not take much to press that button but why should I have to? What is next, press 3 for Dari or press 4 for Mandarin. When does the maddness ever end?

Great Article by a great writer,(David) if anything the article captured the disgruntled fed up taxpayers because of the lack of performance from the current administation.
