So since the city has switched trash services due to the huge savings in the contracts. What are the odds our monthly service charge will be lowered?

Good Question:

Unlike other cities that find cost savings and passed the savings onto the taxpayers with a reduced billable amount, however; this is not the case in Royse City, we will continue paying more than the city is actually being charged. Mismanaging our taxes and fiscal irresponsibiltiy is blatantly obvious in our city. You might want to put in a complaint in with Rockwall District Attorney office or Rockwall Sheriff. You will not get any answers from our city management. They're asleep.

Hey, your lucky. At least you got a trash can. They took away the rolling cans from the businesses downtown and now I have to walk to one end or the other to throw my trash in a dumpster. Last week I walked to one can and found it full already. This is nuts. Thank you city hall for making things more difficult for us business people.

Been waiting 3 weeks for my second trashcan I am paying for. I waited 2 weeks after they picked my original 2 up just to get 1 can. I have called 5 times, still only 1!

we have no carts at all. I have called and complained. The people at the new company lied and are jerks.

We talked to the old company IESI they said it was money, they had done nothing wrong. In fact very good service. Like someone else said, doubt we'll see a reduction in our rates. ha!!!

By the way, it was the idea of the new City Manger to put two dumpsters behind the main street businesses. Thank him for your daily walk.

Something stupid like there's too many carts behind the buildings cluttering the view.

Leave our trash cans alone so we can pick up the trash that your employees don't.

IESI sucked too. When we first moved here they said the trash bill was $98 every 3 months plus a garbage can. A year later no garbage can and found out my neighbors were only paying $73 every 3 months and they got their can. The only problem I have with the new company is I can't pay the bill over the phone with a card, seriously??!!

I would like to commend those on our city staff on the strategic planning team who orchestrated the transition to the new trash waste management company! Great Job, our blue containers arrived yesterday with, "City of Desoto" written on the sides and the recycling box is red. We love our new blue containers. Thanks Royse City!!!!

Anyone on here think the citys saving money which will reduce any future tax hike, or maybe saving money to help out our road problems, or help with getting more city employees since so many were fired, or saving money period to grow the account for future growth? i kinda like my burgandy can. wife thinks its "pretty". Taxes will have to go up now that the truth has been exposed regarding the theft of Desoto trash cans. Bet we have to return them and have to go to home depot and get a new can. should i just spray paint RC on the side of the can?
