Thanks to all the New York guidos ['Bennies', as we unaffectionately referred to them back in the day] for perpetuating the NJ stereotype...

Hideous human beings...

Insofar as the Benny notation by Mr. McCracken, Benny actually refers to Northern Jersey folks as well... it is a derivative of the Southern Jersey Shore,“Shoobie.” Down south, they started calling the out of town travelers to the shore Shoobies as they would arrive in towns like Cape May and Atlantic City via train for day trips and would carry their lunches in shoe boxes.

Northern shore towns adopted Benny, which is an acronym for Bayonne, Elizabeth, Newark and New York.

Having grown up on the Jersey Shore, I always laugh when someone screams at me,“Benny go home!” I don’t do the neon t-shirts (nor the Ed Hardy trendy crappola), and definitely avoid the gold chains, but having out of state plates is enough to group me with the miscreants!

Oh well, still love that shore.

Who cares what we call them as long as they keep emptying thier wallets on the "Jersey Shore" by paying those parking tickets in Point Pleasant Beach
and the "NOISE TICKETS" in Bay Head (Ka...BOOM,BOOM Black BMW'S!)
Oh and you Bennies with the "OFFSHORE POWERBOATS" with no Mufflers why don't you go "offshore" and stay out off our rivers and bay!

After our long boring winters I look forward to the couple of months they are here. Nothing is funnier than a pack of drunk smugs trying to do.....pretty much anything. They used to call them smugglas(can also be pronounced as shmugglahhh!) back in the day The new gen bennie doesnt know smuggla as an insult, so u can throw it around alot more;)

I live in Lavallette Even though I do not live in SeaSide Heights, it is close to us. But Jersey shore gives us a bad name. They are dirty and sick. Please let them go away. Far away forever.......
