There were no lay offs at Butler, we were terminated. Payed for 2 months, with a little severance package depending on your years of service. If we were on lay-off we could draw unemployment and go back as economy picks up, but we cannot until all our pay is extinguished and be rehired at half the pay!!!

That is just crappy! I can't believe they call it a layoff! I also work for bulter and there has been talk of layoffs. How can they just terminate you? I don't understand.

I work for Butler in Annville,pa. We also have lost a lot of people to "layoff". We believe that they are getting ready to shut the doors! They are picking and choosing who to get rid of. Time on the job means nothing. Management is getting so bad that alot of hope we are next to go. They want us to put out more work with less people.

I have some friends who work(ed) at Bulter in Laurinburg. It is sad to see all these once strong companies failing.
Failing their people too!
