The people who run the Redneck Shop should abandon, and leave, because it is the best for the city.

maybe you should abandon and leave , because as far as im concerned theres not enough stores like it,if they were selling franchises, I'd be more than happy to run one up here ,yes I think one or more is needed up here,

I lived in Laurens for 10 years and never had a problem with the Redneck Shoppe. It was a known store and the people who worked and went there were good people. I don't think it should be abandoned. Man, I miss Laurens.

I love it when businesses prosper, no matter what the biz is, excluding, prostitution, or the sale of illegal drugs. The more businesses who do prosper and build a solid customer base, the more likely others will also succeed. It takes all kind of people to become a community and tho I have never shopped in the Redneck shop, I support it. If I ever get a day off from my flower shop, I will probably go in there and browse, maybe even buy. sincerely, Gail

It sells racist paraphenalia to racists who want to decorate their mobile homes with cheap racist garbage. Glad you poor dumb rednecks aren't upwardly mobile enough to infect my neighborhood.

If there was a store that glorified killing people you cared about I'm pretty sure you wouldn't want it there. And I'm positive it wouldn't matter if the people who ran it were "good" (to you, that is).

Problem with Laurens County you can do anything you to. You can open any kind of buisness who cares, all you got to do is pay your little fee, run it by the planning committee who absolutely don't have a clue of what's going on or whats good for the county? Most of the counties elected officials take up a seat and turn their head. There's not one thing you can do about it but move.Besides who shops in laurens anyway most go to Greenwood or Simpsonville. Unless you shop at Walmart or the Redneck shop what ya gona wear? If you work in laurens you are on the bottom end of the pay scale so if you seek improvement again you better move.I think the Redneck shop suits the majority of the citizens in Laurens. To me the people get exactly what they ask for by moving to laurens.

I may come off sounding a little racist, which for the most part I am not; but maybe we need more shops like this one. Never been tere heard about it on the news. And in light of the recent firing of Don Imus for one innocent comment and the way corporate America bowed to a little pressure, we "whites" may need a place like this before we go as extinct as the dinosaurs.Sorry if this comment offends a little, bu I am not the one stirring up problems and being so apologetic for nothing.

The decorations on the outside of the store speak for themselves! Yuck! talk about Red who in their right mind would dress in that stuff anyway? The Attire spells T-r-o-u-b-l-e in any town. Thank goodness most towns would not allow a store like that.

'we "whites" may need a place like this before we go as extinct as the dinosaurs.' That quote does not make any sense. Caucasians are by far, the majority race in America. Being a Laurens native, I have grown up with the Redneck Shop as being a negative image of the place I call home. I have seen African Americans mased by even looking through the windows. If it wasn't for those incidents, I would have no problem with the shop because I will never step foot in the facility. The primary reason why The Redneck Shop receive so much publicity and patronage is, not because of the positive impact it has on society nor because people actually like the clothing. It is because of the retardation it has with the healing of segregation. I posted my email address for those who want to discuss this matter further. I've been by the shop and wanted to go in but it was closed for the evening. We have friends in Laurens and when we go back, I want to visit the shop. I'm not racist, but I believe we should have a White Almanac show and white history month.

I understand this and agree with you, but the people who own the store are racist and most of the things they have in the store are racist as well. Technically, though, isn't all the history we learn in our schools in this country "white" history?

In response to: "Technically, though, isn't all the history we learn in our schools in this country "white" history?" Is it not also true that most of history is "white history" because of the accomplishments of our people. This is only fair. The problem is, most whites are now too apologetic to celebrate our heritage. Instead, we are encouraged to celebrate black heritage, and Hispanic heritage, and everything else except our own. Because celebrating white heritage is "racist."
