Hopefully SLED can use juvenile records ( which are sealed ) to say no when they want to buy a gun.

Might as well let the kiddies buy guns at the age of 10 also...it doesnt make any difference anymore. And since the one donkey State is at it, might as well lower the drinking age to 10 also. Stupid laws for a moron stupid State!

OK. If a teen who is 18 years old shoots someone unjustly and they purchased the gun legally, can they sue Mark Sanford for passing such a idiotic law? Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. Now 18 year old gang bangers will be lining up at the gun shop.

but yet they can't drink? Makes no sense. I'm all for guns, I own several myself, but if ya can't buy alcohol, you shouldn't be able to buy guns. I do agree with the military thing though. As for The Great Gov. Sanford, I really can't stand him. He has done nothing good for this state. I'm very disappointed in him, and will be glad when he's out of office. Then maybe someone with some common sense will be elected.

Most 18 yr olds have not even graduated high school these days and those who have are good friends with 15 16 and 17 year olds. This can only lead to more school shootings. I can not believe Mark Sanford could be so stupid. I just pray that he doesnt live to regret this decision!

What if the "outlaw" as you put it was 15 or 16 or younger when he/she commited the crime. As a juvinile they are protected from that information. Someone correct me if I am wrong, but isnt a juviniles records sealed, which means the person selling the gun does not gain access to that record?

Well, if this isn't the brightess thing he's done yet! Like we need young people committing more crimes and feeling they have the right to carry and buy weapons, legally. Just go ahead and tell the young people to kill everybody. You, ADULTS, who think young people, who can't even handle a vehicle, should carry weapons legally. Yeah, real SMART!

Lets see: Some kid can buy a gun as soon as he/she turns 18 while still attending high school (how about a concealed weapons permit), but unable to buy a beer? Isn't there something wrong here or am I missing the big picture?

I don't know about the "gun thing" but I sure would like to see a law outlawing talking on the cell phone while driving! Nothin's that important you can't pull over and talk.

Laws should not be made or justified based on other rules and laws...What works in one situation does not mean it will work in another...no soldier 18 years or older has open access to fire Arms in non war zone environments..Collectivley I do not feel that 18 year olds have matured enough in many ways...We do not need to ARM them also...Just because your firstgrader cuts paper with scissors at school doesnt mean you are going to let him carry around scissors with him at home....Our Lawmakers in this state are fools

Daily Horoscope for December 21

Libra

You've been quite a gadabout in recent weeks, but as the Sun enters Capricorn at the Solstice, you start to yearn for the comforts of home. You might even be tempted to cancel some forthcoming social events, so you can flop on your sofa and catch your breath. Sentimental thoughts could steal over you in coming weeks, making you think about some of the people you used to know and love.
