Hope this Reverend succeeds in getting this store closed. Anyone who purchases anything of racial material out of this store, I would not trust them as far as I could throw a bull by the tail. Poor excuse for humans if you ask me, so best not to ask.

I guess this is bad because its soo "IN YOUR FACE" but

http://www.camplickalotta.com/Founders.html

is ok ?

I think people should be able to sell or distribute whatever they want but this is just too much hes not an entrepreneur anymore not like this, but I think free speech reigns here.

I or you may not personally like it but its his right and we have to respect that, maybe just get him to move across town or something i dont know...

It really doesn't matter if this guy is selling widgets or KKK items. When the high emotions and racial overtones are removed, this case boils down to contractual and renter's rights in a court room. It is not illegal to sell KKK items in this country even if your landlord is a civil right activist.

The reverend knew he bought a building with an active lease in place. This means it IS a binding contract. The reverend can give him a good "buy out" The race card got brought in here because he is black and the store owner sells KKK. Take that out and look at facts...like them or not. So what happens next....instead of going to lawyers he's going to the public....so why???? He did it for the same reason many do...to try to win out in a different way...race, beliefs and politics... You bought as is reverend, deal with it like a big boy, not like a little crybaby.

""To African-Americans, Kennedy said, the store is a reminder of this regionís painful past, which includes the lynching of his great-great uncle.""

I would like to see some documentation on that statement.

This comes back to "I'll buy the damn place and get rid of the rats." Altho I do not agree with some of the stuff this guy sells (not been there yet) it is a business and it seems he has a stipulation in the contract that he has the business until his death and this Rev. who has bought the place and wants to put a church there is squeeking to the media and such. Jesse will bring in his camera crews, ect and give the man a heart attack...problem solved. Business as usual.

When we ban all merchandise connected to Malcolm X/Black Panthers/Louis Farrakhan and/or displaying the clenched fist we can demand this shop be closed.
On second thought, how silly of me! Racism only works one way, correct?

I find it interesting the article states the property was turned over to the Rev. and his congregation in 1997. Has there been any attempt by the Rev. to shut this store down over the past eleven years? If not, why now? What is the motivation now? Is it because he now he envisions the building as a potential future home for his church? Why not back eleven years ago? Maybe this has been an ongoing issue for the past eleven years. I don't know, just asking. Does anyone know?

Also, this article was published yesterday by the ACT. No new news here today. Looks like an edited repeat of yesterday. Why?

American you are advocating breaking the law and breaking a legal lease. who will be next. what if white people dislike a black shop in wrong part of town. can they also go on and say your legal lease means nothing. get the ---- out of here. we dont like you. you are acting like a spoiled brat that believes it can cry and get its way. grow up and enter the real world. lots of things you like lots of things you dont like. tough. live with it or ignore it.

MtnBred good morning. this is more typical black racist bs rolling all over the floor. i am getting tired and sick of white apologists apologizing for their race. as far as American is concerned, he should go live a black neighborhood, see how black residents treat any whites who go there, get mugged three or four times, maybe carjacked. then we will see what kind of attitude he has. god bless dixie. may the rebel flag longwave and this store owner avoid all the hit men the rev will probably send after him.

jimmy this is america. land of free and home of brave. if you disagree with a person or idea, ignore them. dont go around them. dont go in stores you disagree with. aint nobody holding a gun to your head.
this rev is trying to break a LEGAL CONTRACT WHICH STATES THE STORE OWNER HAS RIGHT TO RUN THAT STORE AND SELL WHAT HE WANTS AS LONG AS HE IS LIVING. NOw there is an obvious solution to this problem if some of his parishioners who sell drugs and party on Saturday night and then attend church on sunday thinking everything will be all right think past their nose. remember as long as he is living he can run that store as he sees fit and lease cannot be broken.

Yeah as soon as blacks start getting "equal" treatment from everyone, I would agree with that. But the simple fact is they don't.

Kind of makes one wonder why the Good Baptists and other religions in the area that follow the loving teachings of Jesus haven't run this racist inbreed, and others like him,out of town.Could it be that there are so many others just like this clown??
