You can live hiding in Columbus' shadow but I choose to live my life in the real world. With black people and everything... I said statistically it would probably be safer. It is very unlikely you are going to be shot in Columbus. I think I would prefer a lot of people around and maybe I could have gotten some help or taken to the hospital. No one was there for this man.
What drive-bys? This is Columbus, not California. Stop watching TV and movies the perpetuate myths to justify your way of thinking. I was born and raised on the West Side of Columbus. I am on the inside looking out so I think I have a better perspective.
The very few innocent people that get hit by a stray bullet is one in a thousand. Most of the time it is people who are involved who get hurt and what you read about. It is very rare that some is really an innocent bystander. This is according to the FBI, not me.
Come to the city. I will take you out and we can enjoy the sites, see a movie past 8 pm or eat whatever we want any time of the day. Carefree and relaxing.

My condolences and how I feel were already posted. The rest were to address people talking trash about a city they don't live in. See previous post to see where the race came up. I cannot help that you post without reading all the other posts. I am not going to repeat myself. And take those Christian back handed insults and shove them up you hypocrite arse.

I wasn't going to reply but you seems to keep stepping in it. How long does it take to type your "sentences"?

I have already said that I have lived both therefore giving me a better perspective. My point is that you shouldn't be talking about how things are somewhere that you have no informed clue on. End lesson.

You started it with talking about "least theres not a muder every half hour like some counties". I was just discussing why that statement is wrong and defending my city. But if do not want to continue the discussion and say that I am not worth it then you don't deserve my incite. I wish you well in the future.

Ignorance must be bliss and that is more understandable than your grammar. I am not perfect but I at least try to write in complete sentences. You know...maybe that is the problem...Perhaps we are saying the exact same thing and we just cannot understand each other. I understand you are happy where you are but you can't seem to understand that I am happy where I am. Stereotypical close minded religious nut job. You think that you are right and it is impossible that you could be wrong. Your observation about city life is incorrect and misinformed. I think I have seen blind conviction up close with you.

Typical self righteous Christian nut job. You give good Christians a bad name. Why don't you go burn some witches and get a clue and perhaps take a writing class. I don't usually talk about people's writing but every time you post I have to read it three times to get what you are saying.

How can anyone take your comments seriously if they cannot read them. If this is the amount of pride you have in the English language it is only fitting that it represents your pride in your town. I have never been to your town and I am sure most people are intelligent. You represent your town and Christians badly. What dumbfounds me is that you cannot see it...That is really disturbing.

God also said to live by the laws of the land. This to me includes society based ethics. You put down a city that you don't live in to make yourself feel better. You wish for me to go to H3ll. Are you a sadist? Your sloth and pride are evil according His word. Your intolerance and blind conviction is also Un-American. Go back to watching Piper Laurie in Carrie. That is how you represent yourself. Not to say you are but you do have some of the same tendencies.

Instead of trying to "stick it to Fire and Ice" why don't you go back and focus on this story. I have already made my heart-full condolences about the guy in this story. You are now informed and dismissed.

P.S. Don't yell at me. I can hear fine.

It's sad that people like you, who obviously have no idea who killed this man, or why, would automatically determine, in your mind, that the killer did this deed 'to get their Oxycontin fix'. I'd take your 100 to 1 odds, because you have no proof or even a reason to think such a thing, unless you were involved somehow. Small-minded people who read the latest propaganda and automatically link the last story that you read to every following crime would seem to be simply bored, uninformed people with nothing better to do. Why would you think OxyContin had anything to do with this crime, anymore than crack cocaine, or crystal meth, or a young girl who needs an abortion , or any other reason? I'd venture to guess that you recently read a sensationalized story about the new 'scourge', Oxycontin. The news media in general have a very short memory and automatically latch onto the next 'new story', to scare naive people like you into thinking that Oxycontin is taking over the world. The drug itself is nothing more or less than a very strong timed-release Percocet without the Tylenol added. Millions of people suffer from intractable, chronic pain, yet uninformed people such as yourself would probably be glad to 'outlaw' this latest 'threat to life as we know it'. People should stick to topics that they actually have knowledge about. Thousands of people couldn't even get out of bed in the morning without Oxyxontin or Oxycodone (the version that isn't timed release), yet some would gladly have all of those people suffer needlessly just because a bunch of dope fiends decide to use a certrain drug. I hope you or none of your loved ones ever have a need for these types of painkillers, or you'll change your tune in a millisecond. Guns don't kill people, knives don't kill people, drugs don't kill people. Human beings are either responsible for their own deaths or they die at the hands of another human, unless, of course, it's a 'natural death', and even then, many times, it's choices that people have made in their lives that caused that liver failure or heart attack.
I take it OxyContin is your drug of choice???

Oh my GOD!
I am so sorry to hear of poor mike's misfortune! He was my landlord, and owner of a small property I live in in Columbus OH. I just found out about this today,(Sun Apr 25th). I am outraged at the loss of a good man for no apparent reason. Mike was a good man & a decent fellow, and a good landlord. He was always good about making needd repairs to his property, & when I got into a serious legal jam,(Which will be finally resolved on Monday the 26th at 9:00 am when I appear before Judge Gilbride for sentencing in Wahoo Nebraska...) and was unable to pay my rents for several months, he kept faith in me & did not immediately try to have me evicted. I will miss him greatly, and I am saddened to hear of Dianne's loss. This is a tragedy and I am deeply sorry for the Yoder family & their loss.
Dianne, If you see this, I have gotten someone to sublet the place if they lock me up.
If you have any questions about any of this please get ahold of Chuck Fannin, or Connnie Gadell-Newton,(My Cols Atty for financial matters.) in Bob Fitrakis' office in Cols OH.

I really wish that people wouls love eack other or atleast like eack other then people would not because the only reason that people kill other people kill each other is because the killer feels that he/she is left out abandoned and alone and they feel like they are nobody and they go killing people.
