Kill someone, get out early

Seems the DA is upset the state is letting someone out after only 9 years on a 20 year sentence for a double manslaughter charge.
“Now, they’re paroling someone who’s killed two people,” Parrish said.“If someone is convicted of murder, they ought not to be getting out of jail early. Period.”
Manslaughter conviction isn't a murder conviction.
I wonder what kind of group of government idiots are responsible for only getting the kid gloves manslaughter conviction in the first place?
Pot meet kettle.

Just make sure you don't make Meth.
"According to Mississippi law, the production of substances containing any amount of ephedrine or psuedoephedrine is a felony and can result in a prison sentence of up to 30 years and a fine of at least $5,000."
All the DAs push for Nuclear sentences on drug offenses. They are surprised the jails are bursting at the seems with people doing 5-30 years for a single crack rock.
They don't understand NO ROOM! It's easy to figure from conversations with people they'd rather let a killer free at 6 or 7 year than a guy that had a crack rock in 1994.
