We received official confirmation this afternoon that Best Evidence: Top 10 UFO Sightings , has been accepted into the 2008 International UFO Conference and Film Festival , which is held in Laughlin, Nevada,... via The Other Side of Truth

anyone been to this UFO conference? I'm totally into the sci fi or sci fact and will be there this time round. If anyone has some interesting insight from past festivals please share..........

Nick Pope used to run the British Government's UFO project at the Ministry of Defence. Hollywood's Oscar has now found its equivalent in the world of ufology: The EBE Award. The EBE even looks like the Oscar, in a ufological sort of way. Whereas Oscar is a rather featureless, gold-colored statue that looks more like a crash dummy than an alien, the EBE is definitely of extraterrestrial appearance. Like Oscar, EBE stands tall and erect on a base with a plaque. Unlike Oscar, however, EBE has large, slanted eyes and a striking resemblance to what has become known as an alien Gray. The statuette of the EBE holds a motion picture camera in his hand, symbolizing the purpose of the award.

Woman Buys Spaceship House

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.(AP)- The sale price for a Chattanooga, Tenn., house shaped like a flying saucer is nothing to phone home about.

The Space House sold at auction Saturday for a down-to-earth bid of $135,000. Auctioneer Terry Posey says he's surprised bidding didn't go higher. The sale of the 38-year-old, three-bedroom structure perched on six "landing gear" legs attracted worldwide attention.

Posey says Pearl Johnson of Cincinnati bought the mountainside house but didn't want to discuss the transaction.

The house has a retractable staircase that lowers to the ground. A neighbor says that feature came in handy for one former owner who was having an argument with her husband. She pulled up the stairway, drove her husband's truck underneath it so he couldn't get the stairs down and left him stuck inside.

Did anyone see the ufo in bullhead city on Feb. 16 of this year? Me and my husband witnessed it but no one else/other cars seemed to notice a thing. Weve reported it on mufons website but so far I havnt found anyone else has reporting seeing this too. I thought it was strange since supposedly the ufo conference was going to be happening a week later in laughlin (tho i could be wrong). Anyone seen anything on that day???

Mysterious lights spotted over north Phoenix

Tuesday, April 22, 2008 11:36 PM CDT

PHOENIX (AP)- Phoenix residents and local media were buzzing Tuesday about whether the city had experienced a close encounter of the first kind.

Red colored lights that formed a square and then a triangle were seen floating over north Phoenix late Monday, a sight reminiscent of an unexplained 1997 sighting that has become part of the area's lore.

There was no immediate word where they came from.

The Air Force said the lights weren't from any of their flight operations, and officials at Deer Valley airport and Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport could not explain it.


The lights were visible for about 13 minutes around 8 p.m. Monday.

A Luke Air Force Base official said the base wasn't flying any aircraft in the sky Monday night and that the lights are not part of any Air Force activities.

Officials with the Marine Corps Air Station in Yuma and Arizona National Guard also said their agencies had not been conducting any air operations.

A spokesman for the North American Aerospace Defense Command, which monitors information on missiles or other manmade objects re-entering the atmosphere, said the agency received no reports of activity in the region.

KSAZ-TV, a local Fox affiliate in Phoenix, reported that officials from Phoenix Deer Valley Airport saw the lights approximately four miles south of the airport and that the lights were rising as they watched.

Airport officials said the lights were not from any aircraft at that airport.

Ian Gregor, a spokesman for the Federal Aviation Administration, said that air traffic controllers at Sky Harbor also witnessed the lights but do not know the cause.

‘‘There was nothing unusual on our radar scopes. There were no unidentified aircraft on our radar scopes. This is a non-issue for us,'' Gregor said.‘‘There's nothing to investigate.''

On March 13, 1997, thousands of residents reported seeing a mile-wide, v-shaped formation of lights over the Phoenix area. In that case, the lights appeared about 7:30 p.m. and lasted until 10:30 p.m.

They were widely explained as flares dumped by a military training flight, though many still doubted the government was telling all it knew.
