Has anyone had any dealings with chestnut ridge primary care on weldon street? The office people must really hate their jobs,on numerous occasions I have been treated very rude as well as if Iam bothering them when I call, for some reason they refuse to return calls as well as not getting back with test results. If anyone knows anyone who works there please relay the message to someone who cares. This seem to happen every time I deal with them so I know it is an ongoing thing,If anyone knows a contact person that I can contact please let me know.

Why don't you go directly to the office with these complants? Before you ask for advice from this forum, you should go to talk to your doctor face-to-face if you want a remedy to your problem. Use this place if you just want to vent or smear a place rather than find a solution.

Are you crazy? Then we'd all miss the wild speculation about how the City Manager is somehow involved.

Go to the source? How can the 'office' know more than Topix posts??

I had this exact same experience and I wrote the doctor a letter. It is very possible the doctor does not know this is how his office staff is behaving especially if no one ever says anything because they are intimidated by the rude staff. I encourage you to write a personal/confidential letter to all the doctors of that practice with specific instances of how you were treated and why you'll choose another practice to deal with because of the office staff. They usually do care they just need the information.

Good luck.

I had a bad experience with the medical offices on 217 going into Derry. I did ask to speak to the office manager... it fell on deaf ears. I received a call at home later in the day... saying that the Dr. apologized for his actions and lack of manners, however, everything was handled according to protocol. A friend suggested calling my insurance carrier to let them know how I was feeling about the services rendered. Apparently... the offices are given a rating by the insurance people. If enough complaints are heard... their ratings with that insurance company are lowered and has ill effects for the Drs. there.

Maybe you should seek treatment for mental health care.

If you really believe that talking to the doctor isn't going to help your situation, then why are you going to him in the first place? What kind of help do you expect to get from this forum?

Are you one of those people who thrive on drama and chaos that can only find some sense of comfort by drawing everyone around them into your self-imposed dilemma?

You can write anything you want, but keep in mind the more you write along your current line of logic the more deranged you might appear.

I’ll be sending you the bill for the co-pay.

I visit this office and they are always so nice to me. The Drs. are attentive and the office people are very helpful.
They told me they treat STUPID people different. SO...YOU MUST BE STUPID !

Grow up and quit acting like you didn't vote for Obama !

the office on 217 is worthless giving and getting results back to you, you have to call several times , leave threating and begging messages to get the results for your loved ones , they never ,ever ,ever call you back , you litterally have to go there in person and stand for two hours while they look for results and wait on the other patients there , i have since removed my son fron thier care and lack of thier duties

The office on Weldon has hired a new nurse who is clueless! After explaining to her how I take my coumadin she still called in the wrong dosage! Thank God I work in healthcare and picked up on this before something bad happened...
As for the office on 217, let's just say I wouldn't let my worst enemy be treated there! I went in there with no pulses and pain in my feet and was told by the doctor that I had "come to the wrong place to get drugs"! Fortunately for me, I knew enough to go elsewhere, and ended up in the hospital for three weeks for aortic resection surgery.
Writing a letter to your primary doctor may help, but the staff in the office is employed by Excela Health so You may also want to let them know as well.

Recently my husband went for his yrly physical to the Weldon Street Office. The Dr wanted routine blood work perfomred. It has now been a month and we just got the results. Glad nothing was seriously wrong with him. And get this -- the nurse called on Thursday Feb 14th and told him his bloodwork was back and his cholestrol was slightly high. They called back yesterday and said they were calling with the results of his bloodwork and everything was fine. Now which is it? Totally screwed up

Hello, Obamacare. You voted for him and this legislation that everyone said they did not read. Hope and Change.

I hope they let the sequestration take place.

This is the overwhelming problem with healthcare today. There is no oversight for what hospital administration can enact...from location of facilities to amounts charged for co-pays. I doubt no one is more frustrated than doctors who are now just employees of healthcare agencies like Excela that get their protocols dictated by health insurance companies.

Imagine going to med school for all those years and spending all that money in a very challenging environment with the goal of being an independent practitioner in a noble career...only to find that you are the slave of whatever healthcare provider is in the area you finally choose to set up a practice.

Hospitals and even medicine in general has devolved into what it was 200 years ago...a place to go to die...unless you’re a member of the top 1%ers who still get the care everyone used to get 50 years ago.

Like everything else in our society, the science and technology has far outgrown the social responsibility and empathy needed to use it correctly. We are a society that bases everything on a dollar bill...not on what is fundamentally humanitarian. And it doesn't matter who gets voted into office because he/she can only get on a ballot if he/she supports the status quo that pays for the campaign.

Daily Horoscope for May 22

Libra

Be very careful when handling financial matters today because not everything is as straightforward as it seems. For instance, someone may tell you about a fail-safe way of making money but neglect to mention all the reasons why it's totally illegal. There could also be mistakes if you're spending money, such as being short-changed or overcharged. So watch out!
