BC Kenlys

Est. 1983 (according to the sign)

I was looking at their facebook page the other day. Do they actually have decent Blue's acts from out of town there? I was in there just once, when visiting last year. Nice enough place, typical SWPA bar. I don't imagine too many people come in from out of town to imbibe there.

How could we all forget this local haunt, too?

30-years in business.

I was there once as well, played pool, had some decent beer, nothing more nothing less. Average neighborhood clientele, maybe even some St. V. students

Was Kenly's the same place that used to be called Beany's Bar? Beany's was there long before 1983.

How come no one remembers the bar in the white two-story frame building on the northwest corner of Gertrude @ Ligonier (now an empty lot)?

Himic's did have good pizza. My parents in the 1960s, used to drive to the Wagon Wheel, north of Ligonier, and we'd have pizza there. For some reason, I liked going to the Wagon Wheel. Everytime we went to the Rainbow Inn for pizza there were priests/monks in there having dinner

Beany's was there in the 60's and 70's. Chris Rosa bought it from him in the late 70's and it was called the Overtime. He was in business for about a year or two. Then it was the Sub & Pub for a few years then became the Shaggy Fish for a year then B.C.Kenly's in 1983.

Before Reeb's it was JD's which was for John and Dee, the owners. They also had the Glass Bar for a short while on ligonier and miller st.
