Our mayor and council people need do something about 95% of the people here in town that fail to SHOVEL SNOW and ICE from there sidewalks in town. Latrobe has Laws about this issue yet nothing is done every year. If one my elderly parents ever fall and get hurt I'll not only sue the property owner but the city also for failing to enforce the code. (actually the city owns the walks anyhow)

I'd like to see him have some sort of vision for the City. I'd like to see him have an idea at an agenda session. I'd like to see him have an idea at all, other than trying to appoint yes men to boards and authorities.

I've been reading these Latrobe forums for a long while now. At one time I used to think Latrobe would be a nice place to live. Now after reading the soapbox, talkinaboutit and no this topix forum I realize Latrobe would be the last place I would want to live. You people can't even get along on here.

Where else in this country can I leave my house unlocked and not worry about it? Where else can my wife be out late at night in Latrobe and not worry about it? Where else in this country can you find a better Parks & Recreation? Where else in this country can you find a more progressive city? Where else in the country can you find more people dedicated to the welfare of a city? I have often thought about moving to a warmer climate, but why? All my friends are here, my taxes are low, my cost of living is low, I have a local police force and VFD, good water supply, friendly people so why move where I lose all of this? Anyone that leaves there home in Latrobe unlocked has to be stupid. Haven't you ever read the police reports. You may have been able to do that twenty years ago but not now.

I've lived in Latrobe for 40 years I'm 62 now and to be honest I can't think of anyone that was outstanding as Mayor. Just take a look at all the downtown business we have lost over the last 40 years, yes some were lost by fires but more were lost other ways. So what I'm saying is everyone of them had there faults not just Tom.

I've met Mayor Tom a few times and have gone to many meetings. He really has a rough job getting anything done worthwhile for the City of Latrobe with how council reacts to anything postive he wants to do. Until council members start to back him up more nothing postive is going to happen here in Latrobe. Rosie Wolford for the life of me I can't understand why people elected her in the forst place. She is worthless.
