Drive by and it was dark and no sign? When did that happen? I grew up on that pizza since it opened in the 80s.

They would have to move. They're tearing down every building on that block to make way for WCCC.

Don't think I've ever heard anyone lament the closing of a Dominos Pizza.

Just choose either Jioio's or Falbo's! Continue the lively debate.

Every building on that block is coming down except the one behind Domino's. The guy there does great work. He no doubt does not want to give up the location where he's been for years. Anyone know if he plans on selling out to WCCC or if he will be forced to leave?

One thing for sure he will be forced out even if he doesn't agree to sale.

I don't recall any mention during recent city council meetings of anyone unwilling to sell a property on that block, although the progress in acquiring properties has been mentioned several times.

They could even build with it still there, since it's at the bottom of the block. As I understand it, there's only one building being planned, and I imagine the rest will be parking and maybe some grass and a tree or two. If they acquire it later, either by agreement or through eminent domain, they just bulldoze it and put in another dozen parking spaces.

I was also just there and was told it would be closing but they didn't know when.

Imminent domain ensures that what ever property they want will certainly be obtained one way or another. Fair market value will be offered and a judge will make it so.

Eminent domain can apply even if it's a private business. Just ask homeowners in CT or the US supreme court.

L & L quick lube has no plans on selling or moving..despite rumors to the contrary...altho city management would like you to believe they have the property...they DO NOT...

Why not put a Papa John's Pizza Place where Domino's used to be? Bring some new "pizza blood" into Latrobe (so to speak). There can then be a 3 way war among Jioio's vs Falbo's vs Papa John's.
