Does Latrobe own plows?

Joe Bush is another guy who has no business doing the job he has.

If you call, because the guys missed your street, they should come out to do it. I don't like Joe Bush either, but Latrobe's snow plows were a regular part of my winters in Fifth Ward, and if they missed a street -- and the guys do miss streets -- just call.

why should we be responsible for our
own snow removal when that's what we pay taxes for. For the record
Joe Bush is an immature idiot - sorry. I've seen him in action and
he has no business running a department.

You are missing my point Dolt. They did get my street, but salting on 4" of snow is pretty ineffective..

I remember on the scanner last winter, Latrobe PD asked dispatch to call Joe Buh and he had to come tet roads before calling crews out.

Joe bush is the biggest idiot I have ever met in my life. He has no clue how to do any kind of repair or maintenance to streets. How can the workers do a good job when their boss has no clue and tells them how he wants it done.

The plows should've been out Thursday or Friday to clean the streets and intersections. They were barely out on Wednesday. The main streets are clear but side streets and intersections are awful.

Someone on a Latrobe page on Facebook posted a picture of a parking spot across from the police station where the snow plow put the snow in a handicap spot! The pic was sent to WTAE.. will there be embarrassment Mr. Bush???

The curb in front of the Quick Draw blood collection facility on Ligonier Street is a disgrace. It shouldn't be left up to the store owner to clean a city-owned street. Old people can't climb over 2 feet of ice-encrusted snow, let alone disabled people with canes and wheelchairs.
It's not abuse for a road crew to touch a shovel...really. And Joe Bush should be doing some manual work also. It won't kill him...

Apparently WTAE approved the picture..so it would be a pleasure to see it on the news next week..!

I agree they should have all the snow cleared from the
store fronts and doctors office and yes that probably would involve
some manual labor Joe or at least the use of soome small snow removal
machines that I know they have access to!!!

As a Unity Twp resident, I've noticed that the "City" of Latrobe (Joke!), residents & business owners tend to "let things go". Have you seen the crumbled steps/wall/bricks on Depot St. across from RiteAid that has been there forever. What's up with that? Garbage on the streets is yet another problem. The town is just plain trashy. I try to avoid going to Latrobe at all cost. It's bad enough when I have to pass through on my way somewhere. Sorry, but it's true. Maybe those responsible for snow removal are just waiting for it to melt one day soon. Sounds like the Latrobe-thing to do!

You got me Grace! Don't forget Whitney & Hostetter! You're right, the patch towns for the most part are deplorable. Not towns or cities by any means. The only business going on in & around them nowadays are drug deals. Just ask anyone in law enforcement. It's sad. What would our grandparents think of their beloved coal mining towns now? They worked so hard to maintain their homes & raise their families there. Getting way off topix from the snow removal issue! Anyway, glad to hear the bldg on Depot St was torn down. Still don't plan on coming to Latrobe any time soon!

Have to disagree

Latrobe has more class than Unity...Unity. is one of thousands of strips across the United States and its fortunate that Route 30 runs trough and it has Arnie...but it will never have the history or class of the town of Latrobe.

Period....

The patch town housing was built by the coal mining moguls, as was the company store.

Coal miners were nothing more than serfs, renting their housing, forced to shop at the company store for groceries on credit that they couldn't afford and would never be able to pay off.

The smarter miners somehow figured out how to leave the patch towns; the less intelligent stayed, and died in those homes, and their wives eventually had to buy them with money loaned to the wives that they couldn't afford to pay back.

Dorothy patch flooded several times and those people living there never got help from the owners of the patch, the owners of the coal mine.

Joe Bush is a good man and does his best with what resources are provided. If you hava a complaint try calling and have the situation addressed instead of bashing on a public forum
