A child needs to be 8 by May 1st to try out. 8 & 9 play on the minor league along with any 10, 11 or 12 year olds that don't make the majors. 10 (by May 1)and up can tryout for the majors.

Latrobe is only Little League to not charge a fee to play but they do have a fundraiser and envelope drive.

Who was the best Latrobe Little League player you remember. When I was young in the late 70's there was a guy with a birth defect of his right arm who was an amazing athelete.

He is not a stuntman...did that for a time. Now he is a business man, husband & father.

Not to be an asshole, but I played a short period of time with Todd at teener league. I thought he had a huge heart, but he could not overcome his physical challenges to play at that level. I think he quit even before the first game. Huge heart though without question.

Todd never quit. You played a short time with him...I watched him play alot. HE overcame his "physical challenge". He not only played basebell, he rode horses & showed them, played football & overall is a great guy. He has no physical challenges if you ask him.

he was drafted by the Derry ukes of teener league. He was not cut, but was not in the team on opening day. So tell what happened then?

Regula is mother nature's friend. This man recycles more than anyone else I know. He is the best "COP" latrobe will ever have. He's my HERO.

Determined as hell (yes) outstanding athelete (not really). I'm not going into details either because 30+ years after the fact it really doesn't matter. We both attended LAT, played sports, and are close in age.

Like 'most' of us I have fond memories of being a kid-teen-young adult...I quit comparing who I was better than or who was better than me long ago!!!

Jeff Regula is the best in everything he does. Its a shame the man is so under paid that he has to "scrap". I would like to set up a relief fund for Latrobe Poice officers to help them feed thier families.

They have a candy bar drive, Cash Bash, Envelope Drive. Then if you do what they call REFUSE to VOLUNTEER( which I thought volunteering was being willing to do something but not in Latrobe. It's mandated) you pay a fee!
And the 8 year olds are ROOKIES! They won't even put them in the Minors. More teams! More money!
I feel very bad for single moms because their kids will never really have an opportunity for their kids to have some fun at sports unless they have tons if family. And, the dates for everything are changed so often you better have a flexible schedule too!
