Who is the guy selling hoagies orsomething out of a cooler in the parking lot of the future donut store in six ward? Is he selling for personal profit? If so he is cutting into charitable fund raising.

Your question was raised at a past council meeting...(couple months ago)The answer was... as long as he has permission from the owner of the business/lot, he is allowed to sell his subs from the lot. It is considered private property. At least this is what I understood at the time.

No permits are required. He is on private property. He has permission from the property owner. Kinda like having a garage /yard sale.

It's unbelieveable how stupid people really are!
First, he dodged the PA State inspector for 4 months. He MUST have a permit from the STATE regardless of where he sells. The difference between a private seller and an organization selling is VERY different
Secondly, where ever he prepared these items MUST be inspected on the state level. The city MUST issue a license for sales. One reason for this is so that if and when someone becomes ill eating an item from his uninspected kitchen you know who to sue!

Good luck suing someone who will skip town and quickly as he arrived or someone who owns a few coolers! Hope your health is worth it!

I don't know if he was out TODAY, but I have seen him within the last week there. I was just curious to see if his OLD FASHIONED subs were any good.(Good as the Latrobe or Derry Band? Good as the Firemen's?)

That's nice. Making drug deal accusations as if you know what your talking about. Why such an uproar? If you're worried about safety, don't buy one! If he was panhandling, you people would have a fit. He's found a productive way to make money, yet people still whine about it. Why the hell do you care??
