We move do over 2200 interstate moves alone each year with many happy customers At best we get a thank you email from them I wish they would all post some of their great feed backs on here. But some people have better things to do in life. Sometimes companies should be protected from some customers too. Being so abusive to the guys or just asking for half of their move off cause we were late to arrive in half hour. Some of us worked for other companies, I have been working for Oasis for few years now and they were nothing but good for me and the customers. I do not say that 100% of all moves go smooth but hey have you try and look up other moving companies? Oasis have a full time customer service representative and a claim department. We at least take responsibility if anything goes wrong. You guys should be doing something else with your time. Yeah they pay you to lie we all know that now. Oasis moving and storage is now in a lot of trouble. The F.B.I. will be involved as crimes have been comitted here. Cant do the time don't rip people off and lie!

I didn't realize this posted my city, which will surely identify me to Oasis. I wonder what kind of retaliation I'll face now...
This sounds paranoid, but that just speaks to the kind of experience I've had with them so far.

My family and I used Oasis for our move from Arizona to Maine. Needless to say we are still waiting for our stuff and from what has been said above I guess I shouldn't expect it within the time limit. They did give us a low quote only to add and extra 1600 dollars on when the movers actually arrived. I have called many times to get an ETA on our stuff but to this point no one seems to know or care where our stuff is or when it will be sent. Further more, they are only out $35 a day if they don't deliver it on time--not much of an incentive. Finally, I watched them break the legs off two pieces of furniture while preparing my stuff to be loaded. I can't even imagine how our stuff is being treated with no one watching. According to what I have read, this story is not going to have a happy ending. We'll see.

Ripped off my sister
Berkeley, CA
|
My sister is currently being ripped off by these thieves. They gave her a quote to move two rooms of furniture from Seattle to San Diego. She paid them up front. They moved her belongings as far as Las Vegas, then demanded an additional $700 saying that the furniture weighed more that they estimated. She is currently paying them $100/month for storage while working to save up the additional $700 they are demanding. This company is your worst nightmare. Steer clear whatever you do! Upset Mover wrote: STAY AWAY from OASIS MOVING & STORAGE. They lie, they underquote and overcharge, they mislead you and once they get your money, they don't care about taking care of you. 1) They neglected to tell me many things up front 2) Used a box of tape on very few items and charged me $250 for it! 3) Readjusted their estimate 3 times after they had picked up my belongings. 4) Wanted $500 more or they wouldn't unload my stuff - claimed they had to carry my stuff almost 500 feet. When I measured it, I got a little over 150 feet. Plus, they charged me $75 more for an additional flight of stairs because my staircase that leads to my door has a mid-landing. C'mon its only 15 steps total! 5) Forced me to sign their documents so I can't dispute their unlawful charges. 6) Asked me if I can fit a 52 foot truck at my delivery address, in which I said no. They decided to bring one anyway and charged me for the inconvenience. 7) Took almost a month to get from California to Colorado. It's hard to live a month without even a light fixture or a chair. But maybe I was expecting too much. 8) Disassembled my furniture which was nice but never reassembled like they said they would. 9) Didn't place things where we wanted. The delivery guys were "tired" and they just dumped everything in my living room. 10) Broke my desk, cd shelf and a few other items. I could go on and on... My sales rep mysterious disappeared after I booked them. Later I spoke with a supervisor, Andrea Orellana who was nice when she was collecting my money and making me sign and fax document after document. But when I tried to talk to her about this last $500 they decided to come up with at the end, it was basically, if you don't sign then we're keeping your stuff. Total blackmail. So I had to sign what they wanted which sucks because now I have no leg to stand on as its a legal binding document. If you want a nightmare and enjoy being conned, lied to or taken advantage of, call Oasis. But don't be suprised when they quote you less than half of what they end up charging you. My advice, Stay Away!

In reply to customer: Our Moving Consultants inform each customer VERBALY on what services included and which services are not (This procedure being done prior to booking). There is no way for a Moving Consultant to hide any information from customer since it is ALL IN WRITING! Our order for services forms are THE most detailed and coherent 1.5 pages, large font forms. ANY additional charges (i.e. extra stairs, packing supplies, additional items) are included in the order for service form That the customers are signing PRIORE to their move date and AGAIN on their move date prior to loading. Customer was well aware of the packing charges that were less then $250 and were consist of not only tape but boxes etc. In addition, the customer received an estimate only on listed items when in reality shipped double the amount of items originally Stated. Upon arrival, our foreman noticed the HUGE difference between the estimate and the ACTUAL number of items that customer wanted to ship. Foreman provided the customer with a new and more accurate estimate to adjust to the additional items customer added To his shipment and failed to include in his inventory. Our foramens are instructed not to load ANY shipment if the estimate is not accurate! (We Are required to do so by law). Our guaranteed delivery window to Colorado is 1-14 days. In case were we are late we will compensate the customer at $35/day. We had never had a delivery to Colorado that had taken a month and I must insist the customer is posting false info. It is not in our company's interest to keep shipments in our storage facilities but in our interest to deliver shipments as quickly as possible. We perform over 2500 interstate moves alone per year and providing great customer service. We are also being constantly audit by the Department of Transportation and always passed those through Audit with a satisfactory ratings! We are willing to provide any inquiry with sample of our order for service, our tariff, record of our recent DOT audits and fresh references per request to prove our point. Please contact us through our website at www.oasismoving.com

You have go to be kidding to say that you discuss "over the Phone" their list of belongings and come up with a weight. And then the customer agrees on the weight over the phone? I couldn't even come close to arriving at an approximate weight "over the phone". What is wrong with an "in home" estimate? If their is no alternative but to do it over the phone, then what is wrong with adding a disclosed cushion weight for belongings that were left off the list?? Why would you want to continue to operate under your current estimating policies and then have to deal with all this negatvie publicity?. May your current estimating practices are intentional to just lock in the customer.

Oasis is the worst

This is the worst moving company I have ever used. Oasis never showed up to the first appoinment scheduled so I had to reschedule and then they showed up late! I was supposed to have three guys but only two showed up. Both were tired and exhausted from the last move. They showed up in "24 truck with other customers items on the truck and told me they were limited on space.(I had to rent a U-haul to move the rest of the furniture that didn't fit and this was a long distance move) They crammed my stuff in so tight it broke the dryer dial assembly ( the metal part literally snapped in half). My glass table was chipped on the corner, dryer full of dents, my mattress ripped, missing wheels and parts on various items and furniture scratched.$3,000 dollars later ( original agreement was $1,500)and pissed off! These guys tried to hide the broken dryer and then thought they were going to get a tip, unbelievable! It would be better to move yourself than use Oasis! I recently heard they are one of the worst moving companies in Las Vegas with many, many complaints.

all you people need to get a life and do some research, be an educated consumer when it comes to your belongings...if you want a service, you have to pay for it, no moving companies hold your stuff 'hostage', if you dont pay your bill, they hold it until you can, they do you a favor by storing it until you have enough money. And if you can not be honest about what you have, MOVE it yourself!

Customer's son, forgot to mention that we have sent a professional carpenter to fix the small scratches on the TWO items from his shipment which was delivered from OH to Las Vegas. Customer's son also failed to mention how appriciative and appologetic (for being such a tough customer to deal with)was the customer once his move was complete. They lie about everything, they under quote then jack the price on you after you book with them. They lie about delivery dates, the most horrible company to deal with. I am so sorry I didn't GOOGLE them before I booked my move with them.

Well, it's Tuesday, Sept. 30th...last day of the month. Oasis was supposed to pick up my furniture yesterday. They didn't show up and I haven't heard from them. I've tried repaeatedly to call their business but only get automated attendants. I've tried every extension to no avail. It's now 11:00 A.M. on the last day of the month an it looks like I'm screwed. Luckily, I'm only out the $300.00 deposit so far. I've contacted the AMSA (American Moving and Storage Association) that they boldy list a membership to on every page of their website. I spoke to an arbitor named Ricardo. I briefly explained my situation. He litterally told me to "cut your losses"..."this company's membership is under review for a multitude of indiscretions and their days as a member are numbered". I think I'll take Ricardo's advice. BTW, Missy Cordell, if you read this, thanks for nothing. I hope my $300.00 is enough to ease the pain of the 10 minutes of sleep I'm sure you'll lose over this. If anyone want to file a complaint with their member organization follow the link. http://www.moving.org/Article/default.asp...

All you people screwed by this no good moving company should get together e-mail and come up with something to make sure they get sued and closed down. Of course they will have employees post and say everything that sounds good but you know better. Don't allow them to get by with cheating you all!!!! It's a scam and nothing but low life workers. They steal your belongings and I bet most of them have their house furnished with stolen property. Call 20/20 or dateline! get ahold of someone and make sure this goes national. Get their arses good!!!!!! Don't allow this to keep happening to other people. Post on every single topix you can about them and make it known all over. There's good moving companies and most people have to be bonded. Good luck!!!!! Please call 20/20 they will look into it.
