You are both horrible people. I'm sure you cannot even begin to imagine what his family is going through, and to make these comments is disgusting.

My heart goes out to the Baker family. Mack was a kind and gentle man. We do not know the circumstances behind this tragedy and it is better to say nothing at all if there is nothing good to say.

I feel so bad for his children and his grand children. Nothing in this world could make me take my own life leaving my children to bear this kind of pain and shock.

The ones to feel for are the family members but suicide is cowardly. Very thoughtless, where was his concern for what this would do for his family?

I feel so very, very sorry for his family.
Mack was a great man and I guy that I respected a great deal while I lived in Las Cruces.

Anyone want to use the coward term any more, I suggest you post your full name and let me know where we can meet to test your manhood.

It's hard to believe he is no longer with us. He was a good and gentle man who would help anyone in anyway he could. He helped alot of people and organizations in Las Cruces. I feel sad for him and his family. He will be missed, he was just a very nice, funny, and friendly person who people enjoyed being around. My prayers go out to the Baker family.

What is so horrible about telling it the way it is? I don't live in a glass house so I can throw rocks.

If you have to go kill yourself because you think your life is so bad than you don't have much of a backbone.

There are solutions to every problem, but suicide is not one of them. You may be ending your life quickly but you leave many others who loved you in pain forever.

If anyone is thinking about suicide get some help.

Why do people say suicide is cowardly? It has to be the hardest thing a person choses to do. To take you own life for whatever reasons. Most people who take their own life truly believe their family is better off without them.
And for the person who said "Business must be bad" You haven't seen nothing yet. Last time the country was in a depression/recession thousands commited suicide, so their families had money to pay the bills and eat, there is a reason why insurance companies no longer pay if you commit suicide, they learned their lesson at the last recession.
How is suicide going to help their families get money for food and money to pay bills?

Funerals aren't cheap, unless they plan to bury him in the back yard.

Mack Baker was a great man. He was there for my family, for the community, and for anyone else who needed him.

Most of you disgrace yourselves with your comments. When did respect and honor die?

Several of you have the audacity to challenge people to a "fight" when what has happened here is a TRUE TRAGEDY! I have known the Baker family for many years and have nothing but love and concern for their well being. Nobody knows why this happened, you are disrespecting Mack and the entire Baker family when you act in such an immature manner.

I am fearful that his 3 children will read these comments and feel that their father is being judged and ridiculed. Again, we do no know the circumstances under which this occurred. Nor are we owed that...however we do owe the family our utmost respect. I can guarantee that most of you never even met Mack or anyone in his life!!!

My hope is that nothing like this ever happens to you! Death happens in many forms and no matter what form it is..it is a tragic and sad loss.

This is a blow felt by more than me, even 500 miles away. I knew the family well, also. I am sad to see such a thing happen to such a generous and kind-hearted family.

Killing yourself is no better then killing another. No matter what he took a life. I feel so bad for his family. The community can live without Mack Baker but his family is the one who needed him most. RIP!

respect and honors dies when you commit a cowardess act such as suicide. Leaving the family to suffer for therest of their days.Wait until it happens to your immediate family. I hope it never happens but if it does you wil understand.

One act does not define a man, a mans legacy is built over many years. For those that have negative comments, would you want your character to be defined as one that passes judgement on others having no idea of the situation?

A wise man once said, "Let he who has not sinned cast the first stone." Maybe you should think twice before passing judgement on the situation. In this situation your words have no damage to the man this story is about, only the ones that knew and loved him.

Im not judging the guy I am simply giving my view. Its not like he cares anymore he killed himself. Killing yourself because you have debt or problems is still not gonna solve them what is gonna do is throw that debt and problems to someone else which would be his kids. Why would you do that to your kids? Let your kids clean up your mess? I hope other people learn from this. I happen to know his children and they are good people. I went to High School with them. I would never disrespect there dad but at the same time the only people I have sympathy for our his children and grand children cause they were innocent and out of the dark in this whole mess.

It's almost criminal that sites like this exist. How would you feel if somebody was writing things about your loved ones, calling them cowards and such. I hope something really bad happens to you and a bunch of people call you an idiot or a retard because that is what you are if you come to sites like these and make inappropriate comments. If I was a family member I would track down all of your IP addresses, find where you live and see if you have the guts to call my dad a coward to my face. Who knows, maybe somebody will, better watch what you say, anybody can be found!
