My great-great uncles played in their familia orchestra on that day and others of note.

One of my great,-great tios had his tuba shot through
on that day. The instrument is in a local museum today. It was my GG uncle Desiderio (died 1909). There were two tubas. One big, one smaller. The smaller got the souvenir beauty mark through the bell.

They were hard Democrats of their day. But both sides were firery passionate about their party.
Violence was not uncommon.

Often avoided, purposely confronted.

Nine men were killed that day and over fifty wounded. The first blows thrown were from a democrat with an axe handle, killing (a Limon) him after he fired the first pistol shot. Then two other guys fired and shot him (axe guy) dead.

That's all I got.

And there were lots of funerals and bell ringing until the next time.
