Las Cruces police have arrested the parents of four children who allegedly punished the girls by confining them to the garage - and later an unfurnished mobile home - for days at a time.

I sure hope that these girls are in better care now, and that they uderstand that it was nothing that they had done,just their parents are sicko's. The parents need to be put in a place with NO water, NO food, No AC, nothing. Why would a parent treat they children like they are not human is beyond me.

it hurts me to think that children are still being abused, in this wonderful country of ours. Don't these so-called parents know that eventually someone will find out about the abuse?
A good punishment would be to leave them in a locked room with no electricity, a loaf a bread, a jar of peanut butter, and a water bottle just like what he did to "his" children.

I have long advocated that people should not be allowed to have children, unless they pass a battery of tests, trying to determine if indeed, they can be fit parents. These folks would probably fail the test, given this klind of behavor. To me, not just everyone should be allowed to be parents, as evidensed by the state of much of the world today. Much like driving, parenting should be a priviledge, not a right!
