I, for one, support putting more deputies out there to enforce the laws so many people feel free to break, but how about getting rid of investigators that do nothing but collect a paycheck? Why not set limits and evaluate their work - if they solve nothing (example, cold cases) and make no headway within a few months time - cut them loose. I am sure there are good investigators, but there are also lazy, incompetent, unethical, and immoral ones on staff now. I never saw "able to drink beer during shift hours" on the job postings.....
