This is a ridiculous appointment.

The Democrats have held the financial purse strings of the state, the county of Dona Ana, and the city of Las Cruces for at least 20 years.
The appointment of a non-Democrat is a good idea. We need to clean house and let someone else have a go at it. The new people can't do any worse. New Mexico is at the bottom of every list there is. The political affiliation of the new candidates does not matter, except they need to be non-Democrats.

The appointment is only ridiculous to half wit dumb as craps who are used to taxing and spending everything they can get their hands on.
This is no more ridiculous then all the other clowns on the Council that do not know anything about fiscal orderliness, taking care of business and standing up and being counted.
Most of them stand for nothing and fall for everything.
