I don't know Curtis, can you get a $70,000 job in the private sector supervising guys that are out catching dogs?

Let's look at your problem from the tax payer's perspective. You mean you pay this guy $70,000 to catch dogs, where do I apply?

Hey, Curtis, how does it feel to have your "constitutional rights" violated? Your department certainly made a practice of violating the rights of others. Ah, karma.

As usual money hungry and looking for a law suit! And with the County as usual not doing their job, I would say Curtis and the County are good for each other...both slackers!

Curtis Childress, who was transferred from the supervisor position to head of the county's animal investigation cruelty team in July, alleged that his constitutional rights were violated on Aug. 18 after his complaints about retaliation were "ignored by management," Childress, in the notice, also alleged he has experienced a hostile work environment..........
sheriff garrison ignored curtis complaints just as he has been ignoring the deputies complaints!!!
not to mention curtis was hired by the sheriff and was being paid 90% more than other county employees

Apparently Curtis did not get the Garrison message concerning G's efforts at "dynamic rebranding" of the sheriff dept. image,at taxpayer expense.Time for Garrison to say good bye and take Curtis with him.

Good Ole Boy Curt just likes to see his picture in the paper.$70,000? Really they only paid the last supervisor $28,000. What was HER name? Now there's a lawsuit.

It's too bad that some of those who make comments only do so because of what they did wrong and were caught doing wrong. And it's too bad that the Sun News doesn't do a better job of screening those who do make comments such as those nasty ones. If you can't be constructive then keep your mouth shut! At this point, what matters is about right and wrong and the county has done wrong for years and years. That "good ole boy" syndrome has been alive and well for a long time and it's actually time that changes were made for the better! Good, honest, hard working people have left the county, people that cared about making things better because they wanted our county to be better, but instead they leave because of the "syndrome". It's long past time that someone made a stand, whether it's Mr. Childress or someone else doesn't really matter. You're not hired on your merit, you're hired on whose brother, sister, or cousin you are or whose behind you've been kissing. And this starts at the top and works it's way down through every department in the county. You cannot afford to have bias, one way or another, in any position and consider yourself to be fair, especially the upper echelon over there. All I can say is good luck and God willing change for the better will be made!

Well "policy" not to talk of pending legal action has never stopped the county from commenting before... Maybe, Curtis Childress is sick of the way the county continues the good ole boy policy and can actually shed light on what is REALLY happening.

Not all who have made negative comments about Curtis were "caught doing wrong". Some like my family have fallen victim to his power trip.He HARASSED my family and after a year of H**, the county agreed he had no right to invade our privacy and he was in the wrong.I feel no remorse for him. The county should of gotten rid of him for good!!!!

That wouldn't tell you anything. The county pays to little and expects too much in return to keep employees.

I agree 100%!! Anyone who knows how the county is run..knows this to be true! Except if your one of the ones on top..then its a good thing for you. I don't know the situation with Childress but I do know all too well about other situations just like his happening at the county. CORRUPTION. RETALIATION. All be dammed if your a Wistleblower. YOUR SCREWED! And NOTHING IS DONE TO END THE CORRUPTION! It will always be the same as long as the same BAD MANAGEMENT is in charge.
