Somebody at the jail needs to lose their job for not watching what goes on. It's not easy to hang yourself, let alone while in custody. Why is the sheriffs' department investigating itself? Isn't that a conflict of interest? Shouldn't an outside agency be the lead in the investigation?
Get your fact before you make yourself look like a fool again! It is MUCH easier than you think to hang yourself! When you have 1 officer for every 75 to 100 inmates you cant watch everyone all the time. It takes less than 5 minutes to hang yourself to death!

Its not that people dont have a heart....taxpayers are getting tired of supporting thugs like this. This punk hung himself I for one will lose no sleep. Yes its sad he took his life but at the same time he has NO ONE but himself to blame for choosing the life of crime. He live like a punk and died like one!

This young man ended on the wrong side of the track. For all you senseless cold-hearted responders, nobody wins in this situation. Have you ever wondered/considered how he ended up this way or do you care, after all he is son, father, and friend? What about this society?
He choose to end up this way! And yes the taxpayers and all his past victims and future potential victims are the winners!

I don't feel the need to make excuses for peoples behavior. Other people have lost parents at a young age as well.
My mom lost her mom when she was 8, and her father when she was 12. She didn't turn to crime or drugs or anything else.
As long as people like you are willing to make excuses for bad behavior, why should anyone bother to change?
Appearently the only thing you and a few others on here seem to think is a crime worth speaking out against is disagreement with your socialist/pacifist thinking.

I agree... Isn't the Sheriffs wife head of OCDC?
I believe the woman is the former sheriff's wife. I always thought that was a bizarre arrangement.

everyone has the right to make their own choics.. He chose to rob, he chose to die.. Its called freedom.. I dont see why we force the prisons and justice system to give these guys suicide watch.. True they are taking away another freedom, but Its stupid to punish someone when they would rather end it and save us money..

We do it everyday keeping old people and retarded crack babies alive when they are destin to die.. Its life.. It helps heal wounds..

There was a woman above talking about being robbed above, anyone watching her for the last 20 years to make sure she wasnt going to hurt herself like thousands of victims do every year? Sad it had to happen to her.. Too bad she cant look him up and put a gun to his head and get one chance to roll the barrel with a bullet in it and pull the trigger like the chance he gave her.. maybe help her feel complete..

The cops did their job, as little as it was.. It was his choice.. move on..

Yes it was his choice! He chose to put a noose around his neck and jump.
What many people dont realize is that unless the man stated he was suicidal he wasnt on a suicide watch. If that was the case the normal welfare checks are every 30 mins. And if he wasnt on a watch, nothing will happen. No one will lose their jobs or even get in trouble.
I have sat on suicide watches many, many times. I have watched as these guys get a hold of something and started cutting themselves. Its not a fun job at all.
I am of the opinion if they state they want to kill themselves they should be given the equiptment and instructions on how to get the job done right!

To you people that had nothin better to do then to BASH my BROTHER how dare you! You had and have no clue what it is you spoke about all that kidnapping and endangerment to a child was his own son! That he never laid a finger on and to this day i speak to her and his kids. His spouse and him got into it he was never guilty of any of these things my brother took his life because he was tired and left as if he could do nothing right. We are all human and make mistakes and who are you to JUDGE! I pray God has mercy on those who think they have the authority, right and even the nerve to point fingers or lash out on a dead soul. My brother was my best friend Great father, brother, and son and yes he made poor decisions and bad mistakes but he was human. May God bless each and every one of you and your familys. I pray that in a time of death in your life that you never feel the pain i felt reading these judgments and statements made on a man you know nothing about!

This worthless POS tortured this entore town with his bullshit. Terrorized the mobile home park he was living in on the north side of town, He was a doper jerkoff, who wasn't worth a dog turd in trade.

Stick up for him clown, and all I can say, is you should be swinging at the gallows with him.

You doper crack heads just dn;t get it.

If swinging is too painful you you, come over, I'll put a 125 grain Federal Hyrda Shock through your dome, and you won;t feel nothing.

Your POS brother maybe derserved the same as a more pailess solution instead of hanging himself with his Belt.

Your brother is all forgotten about, like a fart in a windstorm. Gone, and he is forgotten, and happy that society is id of such sub human trash.

One more down. and another 20 million just like him to go.

those sentimental stories were posts from the local church. Them jesus freaker, nut-job, brainwashed morons are so desperate for followers that they take the dead as well. He was a post christian.

I for one applaud his death. More air to breath, more room to move around, one less mouth to feed, one less burden to society. From a practical standpoint it is all positive.

That doesn't make any of you any better than him. You all go around acting like animals and breeding out of control. Doing what you are told. The stores here do most of their sales on welfare check day. Maybe he can be your hero. It would be another positive to this story. He killed himself because he recognized he was a loser. He died so that you may also recognize that you are losers in this town and you can be a follower. We can look back and say there is some people who took action in their life and finally contributed to society.

WTF you talkin about?

Reach out? Go ahead, and reach out. I see how blacks stick together in this country. You Obamanators!

After a couple of day's you dummies are ready to cannonize some doper thug lowlife like this, who was willing and ready to take another person's life for his crack fix, as a freaking saint.

Screw you azzholes, you just don't get it, and never will.

This doper clown, as others have said, is better off dead, for the benefit of humanity, and those who deserve, and have a good right to live their lives.

He'd dead, he's gone, and we're all better off because of it. Fug um I say!

An investigation into the way this jail is run is long overdue. Maybe some good will come of this tragedy (and yes all SUICIDES if that's really was what this was is tragic).
Remember people criminals have loved ones too. People make wrong choices and some do really bad things but they are still humans and deserve better than the vile comments posted here.
