Just another wacko who has a record and a gun, a rather nice one too! I've said it before and I'll say it again, gun control means hitting your target.

This guy must be the owner or manager of Evergreen. He has spent quite a bit of time in court evicting people.

Guess he will get to see the defendents' seat again.

Looks like there will be a HELP WANTED sign at Evergreen Mobile Home Park very soon.

I'm surprised this man didn't get shot by the officers. I guess the officers consider being threatened with a bat or knife deadlier than being threatened with a gun.
hey, hey big difference. This is a totally different agency. This is exactly what happens when officers are to afraid to do what they are SUPPOSED to do. This is BULL$HIT. Im glad every officer went home but come on! Guy comes out with gun and points it shoot him. Guy comes out and doesnt point shoot him. Guy comes out pointing a gun at himself shoot him. Simple!

if you only knew. The truth of the matter is that they should have shot him. I know its pretty f*cked up to say it but all the facts show that this guy should have been shot. I hate to share this comment with the public who reads this but its true. I am soo glad everyone went home but unfortunetly these things happen and encourage the dumb a$$e$ to say that every situation should be dealt exactly the same, by not taking the shot. This guy is a piece of $hit and will probably do it again. All i can say is that if this plays out like this again, i hope the officer on scene deals with the problem once and for all. God bless all my brothers out there. For the officers reading this, a subject armed with a gun does not need to point it at you or someone else. His intentions are set.(police are outside trying to get him to come out, he walks out armed with a gun he should die). Lets learn from OUR mistakes. And to the public, attorneys and administrators out there, Thanks. Thanks for filling our officers with fear and doubt out there everyday, out there where every second counts. Its all about the mighty $$$!.

I really think if the officers had taken him out, then all you who like to criticize would have found a reason to blame the officers for not doing whatever you think is the right thing. Public opinion is so fickle--I hope policy is never changed by it.

No matter what you say, someone is always going to oppose, people have nothing better to do, than argue with other people. Good luck winning that battle.

Well it sounds like solid training to me. Why would he come out of the house with a gun. Only to use it. The only reason we are not burying deputies today is that simple fact is that this crazy bastard did not wish to impose his will at that time. The deputies were thinking about the admin leave and comments on this forum....We appreciate all you in law enforcement. If people only knew the dangers in this community.

This type of reaction by DASO is not exclusive to their agency. Many law enforcement agencies around the country are taking the fight out of their officers. Officers are becoming less aggressive in situations where they need to be very aggressive. Check out the ODMP and see the number of officers that have been lost to gunfire recently. You are correct when officers many times think about what their admin is going to do to them vs trying to stop an action that can take their own life. I have to say that I have been guilty of this action in the past, however that has been changed. Im going home at the end of my shift.....
