We already have laws about who can have guns. This guy broke them. How would more laws help that? You want a law to say it's against the law to break the law? Oh, that'll stop 'em!

Actually, this is another example that gun control only limits law abiding citizens. This is a convicted felon that obtained a weapon illegally.

If you are willing to break the law to rob or threaten people, what is going to stop you from breaking a law that says it is illegal for a felon to be in possession of a gun (and drunk to boot)?

No people should be allowed to have guns, but a better system in place is what I mean, of course people with protection intentions should be allowed to have a firearm, but a new system needs to be in place. Of course I have a few myself. Got to protect my home some how.

Juan Carlos Manquera, a resident of the Evergreen mobile home park at 6345 N. Doña Ana Road, needs to be reminded of another really great movie:

"The Terminator"

Manquera - The Matrix lover - will meet a real life version of - The Terminator - when he steps foot out on bond and approaches my property.

How's that for reality-based futurist promising you can keep in your cargo pants' left leg pocket?

Heh, I know what you mean, but then I remembered they only kill people who are a threat to themselves only. ;)

I'm surprised this man didn't get shot by the officers. I guess the officers consider being threatened with a bat or knife deadlier than being threatened with a gun.

There should be a zero alcohol consumption law for convicted felons. Maybe a restriction on their drivers license that prevents the sale of alcohol. Oh wait, just like guns someone will buy the items for the felons. Laws only work when people will obey them.
