What needs to be answered - the other party was
probably under the influence of alcohol, had threatened other residents, saw Officers and
retreated back into trailer and comes out with
what appears to be a possibly lethal weapon.
Gee what could have he done to avoid all this?
Pretty simple answer to me!

"They dragged him a hundred feet from where he was shot, handcuffed him after he was obviously incapable of creating any harm to anybody, bleeding out in front of his children, thrown in a cop car after bring dragged like a piece of garbage," April Estrada said.
A spokesman for the Las Cruces Police Department could not say much about the shooting. He did say Estrada was put in a police car and driven to an ambulance a block away.
Ok, maybe things are done differently in this state, but I doubt it, and I am calling bull.
When I was an EMS driver in VA I had two different incidents where I drove a person shot by a cop to the ER. In both cases I drove the ambulance right up to the scene and loaded the handcuffed bleeding messes into the back. One of the guys was being held in the back of the car(the other was curbed and out cold) when I arrived. Neither time did the police load them up into the back of their non-EMS vehicle and drive them out to us to load into our EMS.
Knowing SOP I have to question whether there actually were EMTs a block away or LCPD is back tracking to avoid people thinking negligence was the cause of death.
Shooting the man for brandishing what looked like a lethal weapon was the correct thing to do.
Not properly seeking medical help after he was incapacitated? That sounds like manslaughter to me.

You have to love these self proclaimed know it all's. Sorry your EMT experience does not give you any subject matter expertise to discuss what procedures should and should not be followed.
You just another crybaby that could not fill the shoes of any real emergency responder.
Just cause you say you were a EMT might even mean that you were in a EMT class and failed the first week.
Give us a break - you have no experience in dealing with anything other than aftermath of something.
Before you call LCPD or any other Law Enforcement agency as being corrupt maybe you should think before you open your cake hole.
