Quote: I am a school principal. I settle disputes among teachers. I try to appease angry parents. I deal with problem students. My average work day is 10 hours and sometimes I work on weekends, yet Gov. Martinez says we're part of the bureaucracy.

I'm impressed, you do all that and how much do we pay you for doing all that? Bet its more than the rest of us that work for a living.

Oh, by the way, we support the governor, your department takes 2/3 of our tax dollar and yes you are part of the problem and definitely not a solution as Las Cruces and New Mexico are still at the bottom of the educational ladder. You, your union and your administration fix the problem you got us into then you can complain and make more excuses.

To the person that wants the Egyptions to fear America because of Republican leadership is asking for trouble. We should be supporting all peoples fighting for freedom. Most every leader from both parties agree. We want people from other countries to envy us no fear us. The president is doing a very good job of supporting the Egyptions and showing our other allies we don't turn on our friends. What do you want us to do, invade Egypt?

AS far as the Principal goes. No you are fine. It is the parasites with the big salarys above you that are the problems.
What does a school board do,that can't be done by a principle, and teachers, except collect much more money in their salaries. These are the people throughout government that are where the money is wasted.

I think we all want people to elect governments of their choosing in free and fair elections.

What's worrisome is that even in a free and fair election, a government could come to power that is hostile to the U.S. and/or Israel.

This is what happened in Iran in 1979 when the Shah was deposed in a popular uprising. But the government that replaced the shah, has been openly, and frequently violently, hostile to both the U.S. and Israel. It is the stated policy of the government of Iran to wipe Israel off the face of the earth.

We certainly don't want a group of Islamic extremest to come to power in Egypt, as they did in Iran.

Right now, on FOX NEWS, are live images of a violent revolution now taking part in Egypt. I have read there are about 50,000 Americans in Egypt right now, and Egypt has a sizable Christan minority who many Psalmists are violently opposed to.

This is a VERY worrisome situation now.

I haven't seen such mass violence since the Revolution against the Ceausescu regime in Romania in 1989. That regime fell violently, and Ceausescu and his wife were captured and executed on Christmas Day, 1989.

This is a VERY bad and worrisome satiation in Egypt right now. Although Mubarak said he would step down this September, I think it could be, and should be, only a matter of hors now.

PRAY FOR THE SAFETY OF THE INNOCENT EGYPTIANS, AND OTHER INNOCENTS, CAUGHT IN THE MIDST OF THIS VIOLENCE.

MUSLIM, CHRISTIAN, AND JEW, SHOULD PRAY FOR PEACE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE IN EGYPT.

The opposition has now specifically said that Mubarak will end up "LIKE CEAUSESCU" if he does not leave NOW.

“ keep the loonies on the path.”

Just what is a "Egyptions" (sic)? No one wants the USA to be a fearsome country, it is just that we are suffering a fearsome lack of leadership on Pennsylvania Ave.

"How many days before Fox News start blaming Obama for the crisis in Egypt?" About a week ago. But, because it is a real news story, the GOP doesn't have any kind of policy, and they can't figure out how to crank up much hate to divide Americans, it getting the short shift.

BUT - you gotta see Rachael Maddow's clip from last night! She had a ball playing clips of Beck's doomsday take on the Egypt uprisings.(Beck has warned that the protests will lead to a caliphate and are being directed by Communists and jihadists.
Damn it was fun! Watching the clips of him explain how China is close to taking over New Zealand. Maddow pointed out that Beck had been equally apoplectic about Wall Street reform.

She so accurately pointed out: Beck and other FuxFreaks see "a direct ratio between their own success and how afraid they can make their audiences."

Recently, in the City of Dallas, Texas passed an ordinance that if you are pulled over by law enforcement and not able to provide proof of insurance, your car will be towed right away.

Afterwards, to retrieve your car after being impounded, you must show proof of insurance to have your car released. This has made it easy for the City of Dallas to remove uninsured cars that are typically driven by mostly illegals.

Shortly after "No insurance" ordinance was passed, the Dallas impound lots began to fill up quickly and were full after nine days. Most of the impounded cars were driven by illegals.

Not only must you provide proof of insurance to have your car released, you have to pay for the cost of the tow, a $350 fine, and charged $20 for every day their car is kept in the lot.

I would suggest Las cruces follow what Dallas , Texas is doing. Not only is it getting uninsured drivers off the road, but it is taking away vehicles driven by illegals that have no insurance that might endanger your life.

Who wastes their time watching that moronic woman or Beck? If you had been paying attention, you might have noticed that the unrest in Egypt is spreading and if you were half way intelligent, you might suspect that the jihadists have a strong interest in the unrest. Or you can continue to have your so-called news predigested for you by opinionated sources that feed your biased views.

Won't some of you at least acknowledge that this man in the WH is a total? You decide what total is.
He surrounds himself with community organizers who
done 000000000000000000000000000000 000000000000000

Just YYY do you think ALL his records were sealed?
He is a book with a wonderful cover, but totally
empty inside. His actions rarely outspeak his words. Are we better off with BHO and VP Biden
(his time)? Don't think so. Unfortunately someone
like Gen Powell was not available.

YYY do you think he goes and plays(?) golf so
often? He likes the FOR(E)PLAY.

He does not like Camp David. He doesn't like the
forest. Therefore he cannot see the trees and uses
wrong branches for wrong problems. He is like a dog that marks his spot. P*** on them all.

It's too bad, he had a great chance to make
believers out of all, but has failed and is now
arranging for more money to run again.

One term of Jimmy C. was enough.

Before J.C. was President, I liked him as a man,
but not as Prez. Now I have no respect for him.

The school board, here at least, is not paid. They set policy and hire/fire superintendents.

Be very careful on who you support as "freedom fighters". The United States backed Fidel Castro in the 50's for his freedom fight and see what happened there...

The rest of the world already views the US as a violent, militaristic, threat. Ten years ago our own media described the US as "Fortress America". Best to you.

"These antlers that I found, they were not shot. A deer does not have to be killed for their antlers. They shed their antlers. However, coyotes don't shed their hides. They have to be killed for it."

Don't know if you know this, but picking up antlers you found is illegal in the State of New Mexico. It is considered poaching, if you can't prove you legally shot the deer in season, well the Game Wardens would have to fine you and take the antlers.

As for the coyotes, they are no way endangered in this country and thinning them out at times needs to be done. Coyotes can adjust to their current and new environment better then most other animals and actually flourish quite well. So thinning out the coyote population isn't really a bad thing. It keeps them in check as not over hunt their territories and cause them to look for food in your back yard i.e. Fluffy. I just wish the hunters use a little common sense and just not display their kills like the ones reported. Oh for the coyote hides, there is really no market for them.

I can understand how a gutless screen name changing mental midget would be extremely intimidate by a BRILLIANT Rhodes scholar, wit and commentator like Dr. Maddow.
I can also understand how a mental midget is unable to comprehend the FACT that 'opinionated sources' can be scrupulously accurate.

Actually the unrest in Egypt grew from the unrest in Tunisia. Egyptian, Tunisian and Yemeni protesters all say that inequality is one of the main reasons they’re protesting.

“They’re all protesting about growing inequalities, they’re all protesting against growing nepotism. The top of the pyramid was getting richer and richer,” said Emile Hokayem of the International Institute for Strategic Studies in the Middle East.

INCOME INEQUALITY IN THE U.S. IS WORSE THAN IN EGYPT

[snip] Gini Coefficients are like golf – the lower the score, the better (i.e. the more equality). According to the CIA World Fact Book, the U.S. is ranked as the 42nd most unequal country in the world, with a Gini Coefficient of 45. In contrast:

Tunisia is ranked the 62nd most unequal country, with a Gini Coefficient of 40.
Yemen is ranked 76th most unequal, with a Gini Coefficient of 37.7.
Egypt is ranked as the 90th most unequal country, with a Gini Coefficient of around 34.4.

"And inequality in the U.S. has soared in the last couple of years, since the Gini Coefficient was last calculated, so it is undoubtedly currently much higher." http://thinkprogress.org/2011/01/31/income-in...

Unfortunately the US Chamber of Commerce, billionaire corporatists, and American companies are assisting the Mubarak regime to suppress free speech, free press, and free assembly. Good 10 minute video here: http://www.thomhartmann.com/bigpicture/us-cha...
