Mayfield also lost to a 9-13 Alamogordo team ~ how good can they really be anyway?

It's great any time Mayfield loses AT ANYTHING. They are SO ARROGANT!!! I root for out-of-town teams even rather than them--and I graduated from MHS in 1977. Still despise them!

You're just pissed because Onate almost lost to Mayfield. All teams could have a bad game...so what. When you play man to man every game is different. Mayfield went into overtime with Cruces once and won. Onate went into double overtime with Cruces and won. Pull your head out of your ass.

It happen in every level of sports,no one team is perfect. There are upsets all the time. This MHS team is a good team, they will give it a run for State playoffs. The district is always tough to win at any of the teams gym. Mayfield is a program and will always compete in a high level. Onate won this game but that does not mean the MHS team is not a good team. Once Onate can do this year in and year out then you could compare them with the MHS & LCHS TEAMS. I would like to see all three teams in the state playoff and do well. But alot of the other fan would like to see the Trojans out of the state playoffs, and that includes the Albu. teams. So until Onate does something like make the state playoff on a regular basis then you fan can talk. But until then keep on building the program. Because next year will be here before you know it and back to the losing ways. In the mean time the MHS and LCHS teams will still be competeing for the state playoff.

You must be one off the players that was cut and not able to play for the Trojans. That is why you despise the Trojans. This is that same way the referee Louie is, is hate the Trojans because they cut his kids from the team when they went to MHS. That is why he call the game against the Trojans all the time. But you know what, he thinks he is getting back at the coach but in fact he is hurting the kids not the coach. So get over it!!!!!

People hate the Trojans because they are arrogant and have poor sportsmanship. Those poor kids are like Al Bundy. Adult life is all about high school.

Mayfield has NEVER EVER won a single state basketball championship. Onate has NEVER EVER won a single state basketball championship. Las Cruces High has not won one since the funky seventies. If you combine those three losing records that has to be close to 100 seasons in a row without a single state championship. So all of this internal smack talk between schools in actually funny since none of them will probably NEVER EVER win another state basketball championship. Hobbs, which by far has it's worst team since 1947 probably has a better chance of winning it's 17th championship in Albuquerque than any Las Cruces team has. You people should get back to talking about something that actually matters in Las Cruces...football.

You've got it wrong. Onate fans (not all) are the WORST fans, mean spirited, hostile and hateful... who the hell is Al Bundy? You seem to know him well.

You haven't won anything yet. You're on top (for now), so it's all downhill from here. Only time will tell if your two premier guards can carry your weak inside game, lack of depth, and coach.

All I can say is that Arrieta and Ybarra cannot hang with the point guards of Onate.Don't know where the hype came that they were great guards. They looked liked deers when the headlights are coming towards them. Scared straight. They can't hang with them. To freakin slow. Wait till they play them at Onate. Maybe this will pull the plug on them and get rid of Morrow and Casillas.

Put together a couple of successful seasons then get back to me. Morrow gets the most out of his players. You have two good players and don't get much out of anyone else. When you lose your two guards, you'll be back to playing like Gadsden...and losing.
