Although never a good time to be laid off, the holiday season makes it worse!

Trim the Fat

All the media needs to trim off the fat (incompetent reporters and editors). The Internet is replacing the publishing world and to keep abreast, the El Paso Times needs to clean up its act. Soon, most books and news media will be via the Internet. Most of us do not have the time to sift through the garbage published by agents to keep effete "celebrities" in the spotlight.

There are plenty of genuine news stories that are ignored due to political correctness, or simple politics that cause editors to use their power to ignore truth and marginalize the real expositors of the social condition. When people like "tabloidist" Rupert Murdoch control so much of our media, we are going to get very little truth--only manipulative journalism.

Another example of "news" manipulation: The New York Time selected (endorsed) John McCain as the Republican candidate for President last year and as soon as he got the nomination, they began to attack him. That is news manipulation in its purest form, and the Republicans are the easiest to dupe. They further prove it by calling (Murdoch's) Fox News a "conservative" news outlet. Murdoch is a self-avowed globalist, Senior Fellow of the CATO Institute, and Libertarian who has always been for open borders.

So I guess the Bob's came in and evaluated the staff. Letting people go on a friday because stats show there is less chance of an incident. Stay Classy.

so now, kdbc and ktsm will be one reporting the news? wow, we'll sure have independent and unbiased news reporting. not that i watch either news shows. i wonder if they'll also put so much emphasis on finding a lost dog, just like the ep times does. i'm so worried...wait a minute, i'm supposed to talking about the stations. i don't really feel they provide the whole story to el paso, which is why so many folks are so backward in this otherwise great town. but, sorry about the news for you folks. power to you. but, hey, i'm alwasy looking for good agents. So, while you're looking for your next dream job, feel free to visit www.plpfinancial.com and call me.

Two weeks to the day before Christmas. Man what a bunch classless people at KTSM now you know why everyone watches KVIA and KFOX. While it's never a good time to loose your job especially during these times that we are in to all of you that will have to face the cold hard lines of unemployment I sincerely wish you all the best. For those that survived the "cut" watch your back, anything with KTSM behind the driving wheel can not be a good thing.

News? What news. Nothing of value gets reported by the local media most of the time. Most good news stories go unreported while most local networks are dying to kill the reputation or the character of some persons or person. I rarely watch the EP local news (only sports) it's a total waste of time.
