Half a century I've lived here. It's all Mexican Mafia. Now they're gaining more control using cops and judges, already paid off most of the politicos. But Santa Fe is much worse. That's the general climate here in LC, Mesilla, DAC.

Why do people say Juan Hernandez is insane? He looks like he had a debilitating stroke or brain injury. Do you know exactly what the problem is with him? Doesn't he have a good cop-wife, Kay, who helps him?
I don't know if it is really considered a brain injury if it's not from trauma but I could be wrong. I thought it was more like a debilitating disease in the hemisphere of the brain that controls things like memory, emotions, etc. Last I heard he had gotten progressively worse. Kay is/was taking care of him and was no longer a member of the force. I am not privy to any information regarding Juan when he was the Sheriff, however despite what people think of him no one deserves to go through what he and his family is going through.

Police officers are a reflection of their leadership. The LCPD has suffered through poor police chiefs for over a decade. Bonnell-sociopathic liar; Baker-a total drunk and liar (and very chummy with Denis Romero); and now Harry Romero, who wouldn't know leadership if he stumbled over it. And his staff of deputy chiefs are useless. Parra is the biggest drunk in the PD, and another old chum of Baker's. If anyone should be fuming about disparate treatment it should be Denis Romero, in light of the fact that Parra has had his own drunken escapades (Welcome Inn and that other incident where he was drunk and smacking around his girlfriend) that make DWI and leaving the scene pale in comparison. Really, Chief Romero, how do you dump Denis and keep Parra? The LCPD has good officers and supervisors but poor leadership. Can the chief and his sidekicks and do the citizens and the coppers of Las Cruces a favor. As for Irene Paz: you were always a weasel. How many EEO complaints for sexual harassment did you file against fellow officers over the years? Six? Seven? And not one of them was ever founded. And it all goes back to your lack of credibility.
Wow! Well said Old School, well said. She absolutely has no ground to stand on. No ground, no morals, no honor. Anything to bring a fellow officer down! What goes around...That's probably why she got shot in the A**, they were aiming for her face! Or was it visa-versa?

I think I know what medical treatments Juan Hernandez needs. Maybe someone can relay the information to him. He needs hyperbaric oxygen treatments used for strokes, autism, brain injuries, etc. There is much improvement and in some cases, a reversal. People don't have to suffer these conditions. Mtn. View has such a chamber, but El Paso has cheaper treatments. In his case, probably 40-50 dives. I'm not a technician.

Also, I don't appreciate Sen. Mary Jane Garcia making fun of him calling him crazy. I don't know him, but he can be helped.

Hey Murphy just to let you in on some inside information inregards to the situation involving these two officers. Dennis Romero was the investigating officer and not the internal affairs unit or PSU personnel You need to get you facts straight before you open your big mouth. These two officers were were unjustly hunted by Sgt. Romero for personel reasons and not for taking equipment or guns from evidence. They were kept in a hotel room for several hours and treated like animals on this inquistion of Romero's. I know because I was there and saw it first hand. These two officers are just two of many Dennis had his hand in getting out of the LCPD zoo. Also I wanted to add that Uncle Harry couldn't get nephew out of this one because a real department worked the crash.

<quoted text>You are right in that DASO guys like to observe things in the city and pawn them off to LCPD. You are wrong on the rest of your post. There was a good ole boy system but not with the two mentioned. The people who benefited from this system was the guys from LCPD. Mark Perea and Jeff Gray were both hired from LCPD after they were found to have taken weapons and gear that were supposed to be in evidence and were facing termination. I am almost certain that both Perea and Franco received promotions after receiving test questions in advance. I will confirm this later in the week. I know someone who has a butt load of documentation on shenanigans that went on at DASO and I will ask him if he will tell me who received what. Chuck doesnt play the good ole boy system at all. His is known as the Good Ole Girl system.

Sorry to inform you but he is not in Mesilla, he went to Deming. Mesilla is still recovering from the gastric bypass they underwent and has lost over 300 pounds since Febuary.

Too funny!!! DASO professional? Above reproach??? HAAAAAAAA dont make me laugh, or better yet where should I start. 1. The Sheriff and Under-Sheriff are both from LCPD, 2. A good portion of deputies were FIRED from and LCPD and Juan Hernandez hired them. You have Captians and Lieutenats that are in those ranks and positions because of the "Good Ole Boy" system ie Paul Nevarez, Brent Barlow, and then when Juan freaked out both of these guys stabbed him in the back and filed complaints against old Juan. 3. What about John Ordonez, fired from LCPD form giving alcohol to minors, rehired by DASO and then involved in a shooting in Anthony that was swept under the rug. 4.(This I know because i listen to scanner) How about all of the deputies who can write traffic tickets in town, but wont stop to help a stranded motorist, or intervene with a domestic, or stop adrunk driver. Instead the call dispatch and tell them to send over a city officer to deal with it. If they have jurisdiction county wide then enforce the law county wide. Ya I know a lot about DASO's BS, the best thing you have going is Todd and Chuck who have turned that place around, but Deputy Dog, dont throw stones, your ranks are just as dirty as everyone else. Be proud of what you do and make a difference but dont live in your glass house
I was able to contact a former County employee today and it seems that you are a little off base. There were several depositions taken last year regarding the "promotions" at DASO. There are apparently a number of documents regarding these promotions in the possession of an Attorney in Albuquerque. Vicki Lusk apparently shredded all the documents pertaining to the promotions before the depositions and before realizing that copies existed in an attempt to cover up the "promotions". It was surprising, to say the least, to learn who had been "promoted" because the persons received either the test or oral board questions in advance to make sure they were promoted. I was told that Vicki Lusk in her deposition admitted to changing test scores to benefit whomever Juan wanted promoted. The Lieutenants promotion which you speak of was in this order. Chris Smead, Dave Fernandez and Paul Nevarez competing for three positions. I am not for sure where you went to school but I learned in school that if there are three openings and three applicants those three people in all probability will be promoted. The Captains position had two applicants. Barlow and Arlis Rhodes and Barlow was promoted because he scored the highest. I will have more info tomorrow on who actually benefited from the Good ole boy and Good ole girl system that you speak of.

It is not real hard to get your own name to use on this forum. Think real hard! Try Richard Puller or something similar. You must be Metro too. Ask one of the dancers at Zebras how they come up with their stage names and maybe that will give you a clue!

OK
If you did not work in some fly by night job then maybe you might understand that their is a "DUE
PROCESS" procedure that any City, County or State
employee is entitled to. These types of cases
need to be handled in strict compliance with the
government Peronnel manual, policies and procedures
in order to avoid a more costly lawsuit for violation of due process etc.
