How is it possible that we are facing this cuts when the governor promise that the schools in the state were not going to suffer. How dare the Mr. Wilcox asked the principals to cut teachers salaries. Teachers are suffering just like the rest of the country and they are telling them to give up 2% of the salary. How are they supposed to survive. I am not a parent or a teacher but the inability of the higher officials to run our state just burns me. We put them in power to help the state and they turn around and make things worse for everyone.

Why is it that the teachers and other lower salaried administrators have to suffer? The people at the top that are making the big bucks should be taking a pay cut, not the teachers.

thank you charlie for the ammendment one cut... it cuts into our education budget and they said it wouldn't hurt education... that is a bunch of %*&^**(&*)(^^$%^&* (@#$%^&*()_ you fill in your own blanks. I know this is a hard economy, but what amounted to about $100 a year really killed a lot of educational issues. Several people i talked to concernign ammendment 1 were at first concerned about the education budget, but were assured that it was not an issue and wouldn't be touched. I have been a citizen in FL for 31 years. I am disappointed here ladies and gentlemen truly disappointed.

Can we impeach for lying? I can still see his commercial... big cheesy smile, family with picket fence in the background, live oak... the best Florida has to offer a family (except Crist). "Vote YES on ammendment 1!" Too many of us bought into this lie.... common sense tells you.. the less $ your bring in the less $ you will have for the budget... let's get real! even if you didn't pass Algebra the first time you should know that. Education makes the majority of the budget and let's not get started on the rest of the overworked system... resting in peace now.

There's too many hotshot administrators at the top with their feet up on desks and wasting time each day. They can easily handle some janitorial chores or jockey around a school bus.
