New Rochelle sewage work to hit taxpayers

Sound shore property owners can expect to pay hundreds more to flush their toilets, take baths or do laundry because an aging sewage treatment plant on New Rochelle's waterfront needs an additional $173 million in repairs.

We Americans, have taken fresh water for granted, for far too long. For centuries, we have dumped our filfth and waste, into the creeks,rivers, and oceans. The stoppages, and clean ups, are way behind schedules of and from decades ago. We all need, to find soloutions , to slow or stop the waste, and poloutions into the water ecosystems.
