DELTA TWP. - A former Plastech car parts plant in Delta Township is receiving a state grant to expand under a plan that will create 35 new jobs.

I work for former plastech but now its jcim.nobody should work for this lousy company cause they don't treat there employees with respect,and they treat us like crap.they don't care even if you get sick or hurt or even have a heart attack.all they care about ,is the part and getting to gm....the pay is lousy,i been here for 2 years and only makeing 10 dollars an hour and the union 652 only wants us to get 1.00 more per hour with a bribe of 500 if we say yes to the first contract.so it will top out by 2013 at 13.00 an hour.and this is a tier 2 plant..and the other factorys next door and down the street is making 16.00 an hour,bridgewater and alliance...

stargazer you need to get your info correct. for one it we will top out at 13.50 a hour in five years and than be able to negoiate for more wages. and its not what the union wanted it was what they were able to get. be happy you know how many people are losing their jobs and even taking cuts in pay just to keep a job. if you dont like it that much why stay. plus if you did not turn down the wage proposal you had to start with you would have been making more than 10 dollars a hour for over a year now. so whos fault is that one.

Well, its winter time and still at jcim, alot of workers who got low senority got a perm. layoff and maybe called back..im just lucky i got over 2 years in.but its good that im working but for the record,working for 11.00 an hour,but i guess its a job even its a tier 2 factory which should be making like 15 to 16 an hour but everyone took the bribe of 500 and got our union,which i see the auto industry is very shaky but you know what the govt should get wise and get rid of all higher ups and better mgt at the jcim plant,and bring in new mgt.of jcim..then maybe the workers can feel better of what were doing and stop being in the dark of day to day work...i have more respect in the workers then mgt at jcim.....

At least your union is getting you something. I work at a Johnson Controls facility in Holland, MI. We are non- union. Two years ago all production employees received a 20% pay cut, elimination of all bonuses, elimination of all pension, elimination of all 401k match, and must pay double for our health insurance, I have more money taken out of my check every week for insurance than I do for taxes.
To add insult to injury, Management, and hourly office staff received no paycuts or bonus cuts.

at least went they hire people they need to inform them of other people that they hire and they are criminals,like child abuses,men, with bad record they keep this in the low,I really don,t know why teacha. don,t inform the new employ,that she hire.pleases some one do something and fix the human resources department,devore help,help,help.Don,t let no one be unfear to other.but i still fell that teasch fire people with out caring about if they are sick or got other problems.

I am a former Plastech employee, now known as JCIM. Progress is slow but it will be eminent. My union... well its a union in the yr 2000. it liberates the wicked and inslaves the worthy. In the times we are in, Im happy with the fact that i have a job. Good insurance, and decient pay. We all have good and bad days. I, personally, have been scheduled 7 days a wk. Since June Of last year.(09)We are not climate controled. This is june Of (10) Have you ever experienced the humidity in the summer in Al? And every day that i have missed in between, has cost me.. And as far as the race issue goes.. we are all human beings and until we can learn to respect the differences that make us all who we are. WE WILL ALWAYS FAIL. JCIM Is my company. And i am proud to be apart of the team in Mccalla.

I applied for IT job at JC, sofia, bulgaria, JC had say that they will become from 500 to 700 here for one year, i had 10 years experience, they wanted to pay me below 1300$ per month, when I wanted more they said that i am not "experienced enough", guess what kind of people will collect...., poor & misearable that is JC...

JCIM company is a joke to me. You'd better off if you give this company a PASS. I never see any company that has such a low GMP and quality operational standards like this company. The upper and middle management is full of inefffective people who do not know what they are doing and have no knowledge and intentions to change. How did this company pass ISO and TS ?. It is a matter of time that this company will file for chapter 11.

I to worked for this company I was on call day and night. Doesn't seem to count for anything when they found out bout my addiction that I have and had under control I was suspended and terminated. I could completely understand if I was using this was not the case. Place I had worked for 8 years gave up my outside life for on more than 1 occasion hope this company goes down in flames.

who they hire is none of you damn bussines, you are there to work and only work. you seem to be one of those people at work that like to cause drama like we have in our plant. so do your damn job and stop judging other people, they have families and bills to pay like any one else and remember that when you judge others in a negetive way, YOU WILL ALSO BE JUDGED IN THE END THE SAME WAY!

IT'S TOO BAD THEY TREAT THEIR EMPLOYEES LIKE CRAP, AS WELL AS FAVORITISM. IT'S NO WONDER THEY HAVE A MASSIVE TURN-OVER RATE. I PERSONALLY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND EMPLOYMENT AT JCIM. THEIR QUALITY ISN'T WHAT IT SHOULD BE EITHER DUE TO CUTTING CORNERS, POOR MACHINE MAINTENANCE, WHICH I'VE SEEN FIRST HAND. WORKERS GET WROTE UP FOR STUFF WHETHER IT'S THEIR OR NOT. IN SHORT JCIM SUCKS!!!

Jcim is a hell of slot better than most of the other stuff out there these days. People need to remember that the job market sucks and it's time to quit bitching and do what you gotta do to get by. I personally get treated very well as does everyone else I work with

My daughter worked at jcm for about a year and ahalf. She had a supervisor that for whatever reason disliked her. My daughter is a person who has a hard time staying in one place for very long, and he knew this. He put her on the most boring and least active job in the plant for weeks on end. She begged him to reconsider, however she finally couldnt take it anymore. She has 2 kids and is a single mom. I would like to thank NATE for ruining my daughters future at jcim and I hope someone is as good to him someday. An Angry Mom
