Water department, building department, police department, Blue Island Senior Services, and 6th ward aldermen, failed.
The time is now to put a plan in place to ensure this does not happen again!

The Mayor is ultimately responsible. The Mayor must acknowledge that his past and current policies have failed his constituents. This is a very sad tragedy. Mark this up as another example of a city administration that refused to provide the basic services to resident in need.

This should come to no surprise if you have been watching Blue Island government, in action. The Legal team Mayor put together only for the purpose of winning elections, forgot about the things that are important to a Community. In the final analysis, the Legal team must share in the blame. It is amazing what the lawyers would do just to keep their jobs!

The City Clerk by Blue Island ordinance is clearly to blame.. Now I am going by a old ordinance because the City Clerk staunchly refuses to update the Code book. She seems to be a bit confused however! She should staunchly fight for the people, and fight to get the new code book published. What do you suppose she is afraid of?

There are very specific laws that govern conditions when utilities can and can not be shut off most particularly during the winter months.

Does anyone know about services for this man or how anyone can contribute to the funeral costs?

The police department has an officer dedicated to the well being of seniors, so I can't see how this happened.
