<quoted text> I remember a theater in Clifton Heights on Baltimore Pike I used to walk to as a kid with my brothers. It was near the Trolley station close to the Mill store/ Robert Halls circa 1955. Can anyone verify this or remember it's name? e-mail me @ 1gpopcarr@gmail.com Thanks!
I believe that movie house was called "The Clifton," although I could be wrong on the name. I remember walking over the Limburgh Bridge from Drexel Hill on Friday nights in the late '40's to meet there with my buddies from St. Charles School. Our innocent version of TGIF.

There used to be two movie theaters in Darby Pa. Del. Co. the "Parker" and the "Wendy" can remember going to one of them in 1954 to see Disney's "Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea". I can tell you it was a very exciting event for a kid back then, and guess what no movie ratings. I can also remember going to Darby to see "Snow White and the Seven Dwarf's" which was the original 1937 movie.
I use to live on Walnut St. in Colwyn For 21 years before going into the service.Spent many Saturdays at the Parker & Wendy Theater seeing two full movies along with coming attractions news reel and a couple of cartons for 12 cents. They were great times in a great ara,
