Upper Darby Pathmark SOLD to ShopRite

According to the March 2012 issue of "Food World", all Delaware Valley A&P's (Pathmark and Superfresh) stores are closing. The company wants to run 150 stores in the New York Metro area only. The Pathmark here on Marshall road is being taken over by ShopRite.

According to trade scuttlebut, when Brown reopens Upper Darby as ShopRite, he will close 67th& Haverford, selling it to an ethnic operator. because it would be to close to both 69th & Marshall and 52nd Street (Park West).

I love the knuckle heads that make this stuff up. Only reason shoprite is doing well because they are competing with 2 struggling grocers acme and a&p. Once a and p emerges you will start seeing more competing environment people will start to fall off the shoprite band wagon
